Work was fantastic today!

{ BADGE #2! ENTRY #9 }

What did I say at the beginning of the last entry? Ugh.

We won the gym badge with relative ease! To my surprise, it was Mason who defeated Grant’s Tyrunt. I’m so proud!! >∀< He’s so strong!!

We ended up messing around for a little while before moving on. On the next route, we ran into lots of those tacky red suit guys again :/ I guess they’re calling themselves Team Flare? Laaame. They all wanted to battle, but they were no trouble at all. There was another one in the next town, even. Ugh. The most evil thing about them is what an eyesore they are >∀< kehe.

Anyway, we didn’t spend too much time in Geosenge Town, because we met with the gym leader of the next city O: she encouraged us to come challenge her, and I got real fired up!! Ready to go!! So we pretty much went right away. To get to Shalour City, you have to go through Glittering Cave.

It was hard!! ‘ ∀ ‘ ; I’m not discouraged easily though. While we were in there, Vinnie evolved! Honestly, she looks so much scarier now, but she’s just as sweet as ever... I was a little frightened, but, well...this kind of Vinnie is really cute too! Also, we found a thunder stone, so I used it to evolve Charlie! She’s so much bigger now >∀< super huggable!

I think Tate is getting ready to evolve too, but...I don’t know if he wants to? He’s seemed a little anxious lately... I hope he’ll be alright. I won’t make him evolve if he doesn’t want to! I’ve got an everstone to give him if need be!!

We rested in Shalour City last night, and now that we’re less sleepy, it’s time to get moving again!

{ READY SET GO! A NEW ME! #ENTRY 8 }

I need to start writing these more regularly so there’s less to catch up on, jeez!

I made it to Ambrette Town, only to find that Vickie went there first and stayed the night there!! He didn’t even tell me :/ rude. Anyway, in the search for info about mega evolution or whatever, we headed out to Glittering Cave together--really, I just wanted to explore, though.

It was pretty neat! We had to ride a Rhyhorn to get there!! Of course, Vickie is used to it, since his mom is a Rhyhorn racer, but it was new for me. I sat behind him, but it was honestly really uncomfortable. I don’t know why people do this for fun, my butt is still sore ‘ n ‘ oh well. When we made it to Glittering Cave, we found these weird guys in red suits calling themselves Team Flare or something...it was honestly really tacky, but whatever makes you happy I guess. They were trying to cause trouble for a researcher excavating fossils by like...stealing the fossils, I guess, I don’t really know.

Vickie and I teamed up for a double battle to defeat them!! It was cool!! I felt totally in sync, like we were one--it’s a feeling I’ll never forget.

In thanks for helping him out, the researcher gave us a pick of two fossils--I let Vickie pick first, since I don’t care too much about this kind of stuff. When we took them back to the research lab in Ambrette Town, he restored them into pokemon for us!! I got an Amaurus--he’s pretty cute, but I didn’t meet him right away, so I get to name him sadly O: I don’t think I’ll be using him on my team, unfortunately. Sorry Amaurus!

Vickie moved on to Cyllage Town right away, but I lagged behind, wanting to see the aquarium and spend a little time exploring the beach. This place is so nice -∀- I wish I’d packed a swimsuit...well, it’s a little cold for that, I guess. The idea is nice, though.

By the time I caught up, Vickie already beat the gym leader!! He’s too quick! I still haven’t started my challenge yet. Vickie opened the shortcut back to Camphrier town for me, so I backtracked to Lumiose City, ‘cos I’d been thinking... I won’t see my parents for a while, and this journey is full of new experiences, so...I got a haircut!! It’s sooo short, it’s really weird >∀< I’m so happy though! Vickie said he liked it, too, so that’s the most I can ask for. I’m feeling really confident! I just got up, so I’m gonna go bike around town a bit, get breakfast and then head for the Cyllage Gym.

{ GOODNIGHT MOON: THE REASON WHY THIS ENTRY IS LATE! ENTRY #7 }

Okay, so, I fell asleep before I could write a new journal; too much happened! Yesterday was just as exciting as the day before! We arrived in Camphrier Town to apparently do some research on mega evolution or whatever, I’m not very interested in all that honestly--it was amazing, though! Castles! Real castles! Two of them, even! Three, maybe, depending on what you count as a castle.

Apparently we couldn’t move on from Camphrier Town because of a sleepy snorlax blocking the path, but the pokeflute this dude needed to wake him up was confiscated by the palace owner...? I’m not too sure on all the details, I wasn’t listening that closely, but we headed for the palace anyway because we’d be stuck if we didn’t! I was just excited that we got to explore the castle, really!

It was huuuge! So fancy! I felt at home, hehe ‘ ∀ ‘ just kidding. Turns out there was another issue, though--the palace owner’s Furfrou went missing! Naturally, he was devestated!! I would have been too if my Mason (that’s what I decided to name my furfrou, by the way!) had gone missing! So sympathizing with him, I told him I’d look for it. Of course, searching the whole garden by myself would have taken all day, so I...coaxed Vickie into helping me, hehe.

It was a much bigger task than I expected...so fast! But between the two of us, we were able to corner it and get it back to its owner. Though, after seeing how it was suffocated with affection, I feel kind of bad for it now... oh well. In thanks, the palace owner set off some fireworks for us, though! They were amaaazing! Vickie and I watched them together; it felt just like when we were kids at a New Year’s Festival again...

Well! After that, we got the pokeflute we needed with some coaxing, and started back toward Route 7, but we ended up stopping to eat something first, on that little path lined with trees leading to the palace, since it was so pleasant there. And, um, skimming the details a little, ehehe--I got another new friend! Vinnie the Venipede! I admit that I’m not a big fan of bug type pokemon, but Vinnie is pretty cute, and it felt like we clicked, so... welcome aboard!

The sun was setting by the time we got the pokeflute back to its proper owner, and Vickie offered to fight it when it woke up, since it apparently doesn’t wake so kindly to being awakened... He did so well! I really wanna battle him someday! After all that excitement and all the running around after that Furfrou, I was too tired to do any exploring, and by the time we got back to the pokemon center, it was already dark, so I just...fell asleep. Whoops >∀< So there’s everything you missed! I finished my lunch while I was writing this, so I’m gonna get moving now, since Vickie already went on ahead!

{ MEET THE PROFESSOR! ENTRY #6 }

The professor was really charming! Definitely not my type, though. Vickie was ecstatic, as expected. When we arrived, he had us battle with each other, just for fun--I fought Calem and won almost too easily. It almost feels like we’re TOO strong >∀< Afterward we split up again to explore the city a little--Calem stopped me, though, and called me to Cafe Soleil to chat.

Apparently he wanted to be my rival or something? I wasn’t too interested, but it could be fun, and he didn’t really give me a choice, so whatever! I’m looking forward to kicking his butt again >∀o

I went ahead to Route 5 just to scope things out and met a Furfrou who seemed excited to see me! He’s really cute, so I couldn’t resist catching him. He’s super cheery and follows me everywhere! I haven’t thought of what to name him yet, but I took him to Vernal Avenue and got him a haircut. I think I might prefer him with his natural fur, though...oh well! He seemed happy with his new look, anyway.

For now, I stopped for lunch with Vickie and Shauna. Vickie seemed less excited when I said Shauna was coming, but he can deal :/ He’s been blabbing about the professor this whole time, I need SOME other topic at lunch, jeez. It’s cute how excited he is, though.

{ BACK ON TRACK! ENTRY #5 }

AAAA Vickie woke me up this morning but I ignored him and went back to sleep so he left without me!!! I still didn’t rush though. I bought a cute new hat before I left Santalune and then ended up taking my time on the next route.

I caught a new friend, too! A Budew who I named Lily. She’s sooo cute...so small...aaah >∀< I ended up spending too much time petting her, so now I’m hurrying to the lab! I’ve probably kept Vickie waiting long enough! >w<

{ BADGE GET! ENTRY #4 }

Okay, now that that’s out of my system...

We did it! We beat the gym leader! EEEEEEE!!!!!! Okay, okay. Whew. That was exhilarating! I feel unstoppable! Ok, I know I’m not, but still! All three of my partners did their part and I’m so proud of them! Viola was so nice, too. I’m back at the pokemon center and I thought I got out most of my excitement to Vickie already, but I guess I’m still kind of pumped... I’m resting on his shoulder now while I write this, hopefully he doesn’t mind too much :p are you looking over my shoulder, Vick? Hehe

He got the badge before me, but I spent a little more time training on the route to the east, so it makes sense. If I’m being honest, while I’m excited to get going again, I feel like I’m gonna exhaust myself if we move on from this town, so we’re gonna stop for now. Too much happened today! I’m just gonna relax with Vickie and Tate and we’ll get moving again tomorrow.
