Integrating Distant Resources in Learning: Post #1 Lesson Plan Outline
ASSURE: (Propaganda and Advertising Techniques)
Analyze Learners
General Characteristics:
The distant learner I instruct this year is enrolled in ELANCO Online. She is an advanced, eighth grade ELA student who is incredibly bright, but she has a history of refusing to come to school. She is a technologically savvy individual because ELANCO has been a 1-1 district for three years. She is familiar with employing a plethora of technology and completes her assigned work on time and with sufficient effort. New Holland is a rural, farming community with approximately 1500 students in the middle school/high school complex. We service students who primarily come from low to mid-income families. Over 40% of the student population receives free or reduced breakfast and lunch.
