Here’s a deer in a snowy environment. Was one of my last Photoshop/Digital Art class assignments for making a landscape painting. I wanted to challenge myself a bit to mimic reflective glass-like texturing on the lake. My instructor liked how it looked :)

(I’m not accustomed to using computer programs for making my art so the entire class was a learning curve—even nearing the end of the course I still avoided using the pen tool like it was the plague. That thing would NOT work in my hands even with using YouTube tutorials lol. I primarily stuck with soft brushes and playing around with opacity in order to blend everything together. I think I better understand how photoshop works now…? But the subscription fees are something I can live without. Think I’ll just stick to using Procreate thanks lol)

The tropical summer air had been encumbered with humidity all day long but the first signs of what was to come were some, lonesome little droplets, before the downpour really started.The air stayed hot and humid during the whole usual summer ordeal, but the moment the monsoon rain began, there was little to be done but wait for an equally swift end to the phenomenon.

The leaves of the surrounding plants and trees were almost violently pressed into a perfect vertical as the heavens spouted rainwater down towards the earth like a giant waterfall. The falling water was like a violent curtain, loosening earth at the hills to burry roads and landscapes beneath it and in the cities it emptied the streets from human life and burdened it with thick rivulets of water, sprinting down the streets and crackling onto the roofes,like an army of pebbles.

The heavy raining ended as quickly as it had started… a mere ten minutes of thick, violent rain, before the clouds slowly drew on to the ocean, drawing a long line of wetness behind it and leaving the streets washed and wet and the many people, who hadn’t found a suitable hiding spot, soaked from head to toe.
