EoY 2011 x TQP [21 Dec 2011]
The day EoY 2011 took place was the unfortunate day that Singapore experienced her second train network breakdown.
I started out my journey in the early morning from the East of Singapore with part of the train network already disrupted, and had to make a detour in order to get to Woodlands (North of Singapore) on time (i.e. before the event starts at 10am) but alas, the trains were going at slower speeds than usual. I got off halfway through my journey, and luckily I did, because at that moment.. The disruption was extended to cover more of the train network. So I had to hop onto a taxi to make it there with a smoother journey. Fortunately, I didn't bump into any traffic jams.
So when I got to Republic Polytechnic, finding the event venue wasn't difficult as it was right at the entrance. ^^ I went straight there, we got our booth passes and got down to setting up our booth. This time, TQP shared the booth with 4 other artists (including chibimeli). Due to the traffic conditions, two of us were late, but we still covered a few sales. ^^
I met with repeat customer Viktor - it's a pleasure to have chatted with you! Thank you so much for showing interest in our KyouKaku OCs and even recognizing them!! ;__; It makes me happy~ I hope to see you again at our next event, and by then I hope TQP will have produced new art of our OC's! ^^
Sales were admittedly slower than from AFA, but nevertheless, TQP saw support and interest in our booth. Please continue to support us~!! I recognized some people and it was great to meet new people too!
Although, there might have been some factors contributing to slower sales, one being the fact that Comic Fiesta in Malaysia was on the exact same day as EoY this year.. (I really wish to go there someday......) The other factor is probably the location and/or the cost of the tickets for the event. Or did the transportation breakdown dampen your moods? I sure hope not!! xD..
Overall, we have seen immense support during our comeback this year. ;w;bb ♥ Next year, we wish to broaden our reach! Will our wish be granted? ^^
We'll be holding online clearance sales for 2011's collection, so please watch out for it - especially those of you who aren't Singaporeans! I'll be able to ship out to other countries, so please look forward to it! :D
