Idk about y'all but...is anyone else like a huge sucker for bodyguard fics?? Esp when the bodyguard is a hulking mass of muscle and the ward is just some normal sized person. Esp esp when the ward is the one who initiates or hints at their feelings for the bodyguard but the bodyguard feels it is their duty to refrain from such a relationship and slowburn angst ensues.

I just feel that this dynamic works especially well with exophilic fics, either with the monster or human as a bodyguard. It doesn't really matter to me. As long as there's romance and angst, I'm good.
