Project Update 2: Metronome & Ultra Fuzz

Been too long since last update. Got overwhelmed with Op Amps, still don’t quite understand them. Also restarted home buying process, that take a lot of time. Also the UltaFuzz schematic from Electronics Projects for Musicians called for an antiquated and unavailable dual op-amp. How to redesign a circuit around a component you don’t know? So for the sake of any progress, using this Fuzz Pedal schematic instead. Should be simple, get components and build it.

Project Update 1: Metronome & Ultra Fuzz

Picked two simple circuits from Electronics Projects for Musicians for my next project. The idea is to learn and gain more experience on circuity and electronics components themselves and ultimately have a PCB printed from EAGLE. I chose these two not only because they are relatively simple but each uses semiconductors I’ve been interested in learning more about: an Op-Amp and the infamous 555 timer chip.
