"don’t you think that's enough?" with this one question, all of his friends attention was suddenly on him, they had turned to him and were staring at him as if he'd just announced that pigs could fly. because nobody, absolutely no one, ever dared to say anything against kent, it was the unspoken, golden rule among the group. accordingly, irritated silence ensued for a while, kent had almost dropped his beer bottle out of shock and finally slowly stood up from his chair. "you know, that's been bothering me for a while now. you have changed." a piercing look met his and now he had also gotten up, no one went voluntarily against this guy and usually aiden would have tried to avoid it at all cost as well – if only, kent hadn’t mentioned her name. "never mind." aiden said it before he turned around and that was his crucial mistake, the next second he felt a dull hit on the back of his head, he abruptly lost his balance and fell down to the ground. "and what now? is it enough for you, aiden? he heard the others bellow behind him, slowly aiden tried to get himself back up, but as soon as he stood, the next blow followed. of course, he was being cheered on by the laughter of his friends. "don’t you dare to assume you have anything to say here. i'm not stupid, thought i didn’t see you watching my girlfriend all the time? you piece of shit." and before he could strike again, aiden had avoided him, he started to run rather staggering, that was his only chance. their chase went down the street, hardly anyone was here in the middle of the night and even if someone was, he doubted that they would help him. his head was spinning, he knew he was bleeding, and with his last strength he pushed himself over a fence behind which he hid. quietly, he watched as the group ran past, moved away and he cursed silently. maybe kent wasn’t so wrong, he did start to look at his girlfriend with different eyes and the hope that she finally found someone who’d treat her better.
