What I'm (probably) working on next
After I "finish" Feesh, (no game I make is truly finished, as i can update it whenever the hecking frick I feel like it) I think I will work on a sort of MULTIMEDIA PROJECT type thingy.
I call it multimedia mainly because I'm kind of terrible at decision making and can't figure out what kind of media I want this to be.
About Stitch, a game by Tj > (Click to expand..)
Stitch features a somewhat dystopian city where all of the citizens have a sort of hypnosis under them that forces them to conform; with the exception of two people who have 'woken up', breaking out of this hypnosis, becoming self-aware once again. The city is completely sealed off from nature, which the governing power describes as "a toxic wasteland". The two who have awoken from this hypnosis want to find out the truth of what the forest really is, but realize that they can't do it themselves. They then create these robotic ragdolls called 'Stitchpunks' (similar to the character design found in "9" or Nightmare Before Christmas); It is their goal to find out what the forest really is, what is hidden there, and how to restore it to everyone's lives.
In the world of the Stitchpunks, different colonies form as time passes; but the main character of this story is in one of the worse off ones. In his quest to guide a human to the forest, he befriends a crow, a group which is typically an enemy to the Stitchpunks.
In its attempt to grasp the minds of citizens, the city's regime focuses on encouraging conformity, eliminating individuality, and tries to bring differing ideas, brands, and beliefs to all be "of one".
"It's only for your protection..."
I hope to have many people experience this story. Gameplay-wise, the first part will take place in the city, and will have more puzzles and cinematics. The second part will take place in the forest, and will introduce a combat system, and whatever else the mysterious forest has to offer. I hope to have a part where you play as the human in the story, but I am unsure if I will be able to make it or not; but more info about that will come later.
