Hostile reminder
In the English dub, Noctis only ever says "love" twice. Once in the original ending right before he sacrifices his life to bring back the the light. And once in the Verse 2 ending of Episode Ignis, when he is kneeling, looking over Ignis who is fading fast, before he gently takes Ignis hand to take the ring and hold him up and heal him with the power of love The Crystal.

Okay, so I've always assumed Ignis is queer (I mean, come on, the guy's jeans sparkle. How obvious can it be?), but... after playing Episode Ignis... I'm sorta under the impression that he's gay for Noctis...?
Honestly, I always noticed little Promptis hints throughout the main game, like little flirtatious jokes or not-so-subtle remarks--but Iggy is always very careful with his words, very distant in his relationship with the others. And very devoted to the prince (as per his job description).
But... in the DLC, he was growing desperate, then borderline panicking, then literally breaking down at one point in fear for Noct, completely unlike his usual cool self. He kept saying things like "I don't care about this world!" (after realizing Noct was going to die) and "I don't want to die without him..." Even Ardyn refers to Noct as "your beloved prince" (?!?!!).
Ignis then goes on to use the actual Ring of the Lucii, going into God Mode™ despite probably not possessing the capability to survive its power, but he does it anyway, basically saying 'fuck the Prophecy, there's no way in hell I'm letting the prince die,'--and then proceeds to DEFY THE GODS and (almost directly) saves Noctis's life...
Idk. I don't normally ship things, but I always liked the thought of Noct and Prompto together, mostly BC they're a. CUTE AS hELL and b. Prompto is pretty much low-key crushing on him... (I may be wrong, but come on. Bros just aren't that homo.)
But I guess I see now that Ignis feels differently about Noctis than Prompto does. Like, this guy's gotta be way in love, whether he realizes his own feelings or not... Again, I may be wrong, but this is coming from someone who, on the 12th, *completely* thought that Ignoct was more like a mother-son relationship than a lovers' relationship.
And maybe it still is, according to Square; a mother would of course be desperate to protect her son, but... seeing the way he looked when the prince lay unconscious under Ardyn's dagger, or when Noct and the guys found him at the Crystal, I now doubt that 110%.
So yeah, Ignis has some serious feelings for Noctis; that much is 97% canon. The only question now is...
