Life update on me and Hudson

Hudson is nearing the end of his treatment for Lymes and he's going to be done his treatment for EPM just before Christmas. The worrying thing is that he can start to get worse again once the drugs stop and then we need to figure out what else to do. There's one other drug we could try. I hope that he will at least maintain where he's at now. We're trying a supplement that may or may not help, but we think it at least won't hurt.

I am waiting to hear back from my doctor about scheduling a biopsy, and was told the biopsy itself may not happen until after the new year. I've started having worse and more frequent pain, but other symptoms are a little more bearable and closer to my "normal" simply by stopping the progesterone.

If you find me reblogging things from way back on your blog, it's because it's a great distraction and makes me happy. I'm also trying to get a fic written on the better days when I have energy. I really want to get it finished. Crosshair deserves it.

Before starting to design the app we decided it would be good to create a user flow so we can get all of the right elements in the right place so when it comes to designing the app. We wanted it to be personalised so it starts with a quiz and then the user is directed to 4 main pages: explore, opportunities, messages and profile.

There will be other smaller elements situated under these headings which the user will be able to navigate between. 

the different pages and their functions:

explore: feed consisting of opportunities offered by the people you are`already connected with and you scroll down if you don’t like it and swipe left if you like it. you can bookmark the post, like it or send them a message. You will also have the timeline here which is like a pinterest feed where you can see what work the people you connect with are posting.

opportunities: you are able to see the opportunities for live briefs/ jobs and internships in any area of the world you’re interested in as well as the learning tab to teach you how to successfully and professionally reach out to other creatives.

messages: organised by newness of the connections and provides you with prompts as to what to say. there will be a ‘connection strength’ which builds over time and the more you interact and talk and complete briefs together the stronger the connection. this shows that this is a good person to work with and that they are reliable.

profile: you will be able to upload your work, see reviews you have left or received and posts you have saved.

I want two things for Christmas: to own Jasper outright, and for Zephyr to live forever.  If I can’t have Jasper, I’ll do whatever I can to give Becky a little bit longer with Z.  If love alone could cure him, he *would* live forever.  Please help. 

He’s having a bad time.  He’s had to go back up on his steroids, higher than he’s been before, and he’s still on the antibiotics.  He’s a tough guy, but these are expensive meds.  A course of antibiotics is $400, and the steroids are in short supply for non-human use due to COVID-19.  

Will write fic for donations, too.  Hell, donate enough and I’ll make a recording of myself singing the Firemen’s Song from the DecoFiremen.  (I have a pretty ok voice I’m told).
