also HI CHROMA!!!!! this isn’t from the wheel but I wrote a fic with this rare pair forever ago that’s no longer published but it was for the ship Demo Man/Sleeveless Insurrectionist if you perhaps want to ponder it. or really anything about the insurrectionists I used to think about them a lot

i had to figure out how to crop videos on iphone to do this but i think it looks better than on desktop so it’s happy anyway. ct/south/girlie huh… just in time for women day

this is like. messy lesbians to the max. south and ct having this kind of will they won’t they thing where ct does genuinely like south and desperately wants to help her and let her in but she just. KNOWS that south would not be able to handle this quietly. and maybe she’s right and maybe she’s wrong but she could never trust her with it. she buys into the persona that the director has set up for south too much. south plays it too well.

and then girlie is like. she’s so much like south but with none of the baggage of the project. she’s the freedom, the liberation from ct’s old life. in canon or in an au, girlie would represent leaving behind the things that held ct down.

but was south one of those things? was she really? or did ct just never let her be anything else? exactly how much south had planned during recovery one we’ll never know but we know she can be sneaky. she can hold her cards to her chest. sometimes she shows up and points a rocket launcher at tex while calling her a monster and a bitch but sometimes she holds her tongue and walks away from the meta with delta, unscathed.

maybe ct had a friend in south she could have trusted. maybe they could have worked together. but ct never gave her that choice. never gave her the chance. too risky. too much of a liability. so she leaves south behind for the loudmouthed blonde that she actually can trust. and south never even got the chance.

this was more about ct/south than the three of them sorryyyyyy i just don’t have great voices for the insurrectionists so it’s hard for me to know where girlie’s actually fit into this

4. If you could put this character in any other media, be it a book, a movie, anything, what would you put them in?

pokémon pokémon pokemonnnn this child deserves to go on an epic journey with their beloved companion pokémon and save the world and raise a team and make a bunch of friends and battle against an evil organization and be champion and like. okay fr i think pokémon would have this appeal to theta bc it’s a bunch of kids who are independent but still very much kids. and i know that’s a lot of like shonen style stuff but pokémon also has like… you rely on your pokémon and they rely on you. you’re independent but you’re still supported. you still have that bond. and there’s also like. pokémon being both adorable creatures that you love and weapons capable of mass destruction at the same time. i just think there’s a lot to relate there. pokémon and theta just work together
