Building a MOSAIC of equality
So much of my life seems nonsensical right now. After finding so much of everything was far less than I believed I've been feeling like my work and everything (shy of being a dad) was completely futile. But today I received some wonderful news.
After spending the better part of three years helping to build the new Equality Alliance and the MOSAIC initiative (both focused on increasing equality, diversity, and LGBTQ+ representation in the workplace) at my work, we've been recognized by The Human Rights Campaign Foundation.
The Human Rights Campaign Foundation (HRC) annually rates companies around the globe on policies and practices that impact their LGBTQ+ employees. To be included on this list of Best Places to Work for LGBTQ employees, companies must submit information about their policies and benefits as well as demonstrate a commitment to both their LGBTQ+ employees and the communities where we live and work. For the first time we received a perfect score on the Corporate Equality Index.
I'm so proud of this and the work and time that so many put in to make this happen. I'm looking forward to what we can do next!
