EQUAL PAY DAY CHICAGO 2016
Plans are well underway for the next Equal Pay Day event, scheduled for April 12, 2016 in Daley Plaza (Clark and Washington) from 12 to 1 pm. Each year, Equal Pay Day is recognized world-wide to bring greater awareness to the wage gap experienced by minorities and women. The mid-April date symbolically marks how far into a new year the average woman must work to earn as much as the average man did in the previous year.
In its sixth year, Equal Pay Day Chicago is a both a focal point to raise awareness of pay equality, and a platform for organizations to collaborate across the state. We invite you to be a part of this effort.
