Askr was a curious place, but some things--armies, war, clashes of ideals--seemed to be as present in this world as the last. Being familiar with the life of a soldier meant that adapting to life in the Order of Heroes wasn’t all that difficult, even if the countries and commanders had different names. With nothing and nowhere to go back to, Askr was as good a place as any to remain. 

It wasn’t as if there was no peace to be had here--amidst all the battles, training, and strategy sessions, there were also moments filled with menial tasks like frequenting the library, caring for the horses, and interacting with other residents of the castle. Today, one person in particular seemed to want to speak to him, given the way she was making a beeline for his position, but he could not begin to guess at the purpose she had in mind. Perhaps she needed some assistance?

Surprisingly, Ryo is showing kindness to the young woman before him. 

He is aware showing charisma towards someone as NAIVE as Elise will get him places. Higher places, perhaps. Although, he isn’t only interacting with the royal for manipulative purposes. She is a ray of sunshine unlike other people in this gloomy, Nohrian army. If he is to show an ounce of sympathy towards humanity, it would most certainly be towards someone like this girl. Her smile is contagious after all, his own grin widening.
