OSTARA : SPELLS AND RITUALS
Ostara Spells & Rituals for Renewal and Manifestation
Ostara is the perfect time to plant seeds—both physically and spiritually. This festival of balance, fertility, and new beginnings is a powerful moment to set intentions and manifest growth. Here are a few spells and rituals to align with the energy of the season:
1. The Seed of Intention Spell
Purpose: Manifest a goal or desire
Take a small planting pot, soil, and a packet of seeds (herbs, flowers, or any plant that resonates with you).
Hold a seed in your hands and visualize your intention—whether it’s love, success, healing, or transformation.
Whisper your intention into the seed, then plant it in the soil.
Water it and place it in a sunny spot. As it grows, so will your desire.
2. Egg Fertility and Abundance Ritual
Purpose: To attract prosperity, fertility (creative or physical), and new opportunities
Take a fresh egg, symbolizing new life, and write a wish or intention on its shell.
Bury the egg in your garden or a planter, allowing the earth to take your wish and bring it to fruition.
If you don’t have a garden, you can also place the egg in a bowl of soil indoors for a few days before disposing of it naturally.
3. Dawn Equinox Sun Invocation
Purpose: To welcome the balance of light and dark and draw in personal power
Wake before sunrise and go outside or near a window facing east.
Light a yellow or gold candle and say:
“As the sun returns in full force, I welcome its strength into my life.
Balance, clarity, and abundance flow through me.
As the light grows, so too does my power.”
Meditate in the morning light, visualizing its warmth filling you with new energy.
(If you follow the Scarlet Star system you can also perform the IAO Lucifer here) *1
4. Ostara Water Blessing for Emotional Renewal
Purpose: To cleanse away stagnation and invite fresh emotional energy
Fill a bowl with spring water and add fresh flower petals (such as daffodils or violets) and a pinch of salt.
Hold your hands over the water and say:
“By the power of Ostara’s dawn, I release what no longer serves me and welcome new beginnings.”
Use the water to anoint your forehead, hands, and feet, or sprinkle it around your home for renewal.
Final Thoughts
Ostara is about rebirth, potential, and balance—a time to align your magic with the rhythms of the Earth. Whatever you wish to manifest, now is the time to set it in motion. Plant your spiritual seeds, nurture them, and watch as your intentions blossom in the seasons ahead.
1.The Next post will go more into The Scarlet Star system of magick. Keep in mind, the TSS could be considered eclectic chaos Magic. It is neither left hand or right hand path and at the same time it is both because it is the middle path. If you understand this principle then you understand the Scarlet Star. The next post will connect Ostara to Venus and to Lucifer. As I may have said before Lucifer is a central archetype in the TSS system of magic. So you can choose to read the next post or to stop here.
