To those of you disagreeing with Raven Symone simply because, just be honest as I tell conservatives that hate President Obama, that you do not like her for prejudice and petty reasons. Actually, no it is without reason.
How many of you would name your child watermelondrea? To those throwing a fit, has a name as unique as watermelondrea ever crossed your mind when naming your child or potential child? I want you to be honest, to those that that defend the ridiculousness of things, would you name your child something ridiculous?
The same that will defend ‘ebonics’ but make fun of a Southern person regardless. The same that will defend a black person and ebonics, would you write your papers the same way? I always find that those speaking eloquently will defend ebonics but can only do so by speaking and writing eloquently.
Just as I find those that defend ridiculous names will never ever name their child something ridiculous.
That’s why I’m asking this: why all of the FOX News outrage? Why FOX News as a comparison? Well why all of the hate for a President despite what he has managed to accomplish? Why all of the hate for someone merely expressing an opinion on ridiculous, not ‘ghetto’ or ‘black’-what I read in misleading news headlines, names.
I am troubled that people and the media are pushing an association of ridiculous names with black names. That tells me more about the views of the website than the other way around.
Should she hire someone because of their name? Actually it is her choice to do so or not in her private business, but in my opinion it is a no.
