Yes, Steve kisses Tony when he comes home. In front of their whole team. He watches him stumble weakly off the spaceship, feels how frail he is in Steve’s arms, and--and so much time has past. So much time. The worst could have happened--it did happen--but they’re both still here. So he just. Kisses him.
And Tony lets him. Kisses him back, even. The worst has happened, and yes he had someone to share that grief with, but no one like this. Not a teammate, an old friend. So he allows himself to be held, and to be kissed, and to feel put together again.
He knows they will fight. Surely, Steve does too. This isn’t forgiveness. This isn’t about healing, about moving forward. It’s a path that runs way deeper than all of that. And it feels inevitable. And it feels infinite.
