Autumn clean up- out of many, one and then they become individual once again. Many of the drawings I create are not successful for a variety of reasons. Experiment constantly. Just like Edison, I am finding all the ways which don’t work, hahaha! I am happy to report, though, because that every day I create more and more pieces which I deem successful. So what to do with all the grade B pieces? Give them new life. Erase and rewind but conserve their story because each one of them marks a moment in my life, an experience and I don’t want to lose that. I want to build on that to create something less obvious, more beautiful, less controlled, more fearless; more natural. Probablement Anna trouvera que le temps passe tellement vite, un jour. Je n’ai qu’un vœu pour ses 22 ans : je lui souhaite de ne jamais plus trouver que le temps ne passe pas, que le temps est épais. Que le temps est mort. J’ai parlé des théories du physicien Bill Greene à Anna : elle ne voulait pas me croire moi, mais elle l’a cru, lui. J’aurais dû lui rappeler que c’est peut-être l’explication de son impression de lenteur...
