Tim Showalter’ın müzik projesi Strand of Oaks, 22 Martta Eraserland adını taşıyan altıncı uzunçalar albümünü piyasaya sürecek. Albüm, Jim James hariç My Morning Jacket üyelerinin vokal desteğiyle kaydedilmiş. Albümde yer alan Ruby ise Showalter’a göre, yazdığı en mutlu şarkı. Müzisyen, Ruby’nin videosunda ise, 1988’de çocukken, ailesinin çektiği görüntülere yer vermiş.

Strand of Oaks return to The Sinclair on 5/8 with NYC-based Wild Pink, in support of their new album out this past March, Eraserland. The LP almost didn’t happen. Strand of Oaks’ Timothy Showalter wasn’t planning on recording another album until his friends in My Morning Jacket encouraged him to do so by booking Showalter some recording time in a studio. Their belief in him and his music helped push the singer-songwriter to record what would become Eraserland, and we’re so glad it’s been released. While tickets are still available for the show at The Sinclair on 5/8, we’re giving away a pair of them plus a copy of Eraserland on vinyl thanks to The House List. Want to win? It’s easy. Timothy Showalter started releasing albums as Strand of Oaks back in 2009 with his debut Leave Ruin. The Indiana native(born in Goshen) put out folks-y, acoustic-heavy albums that dealt with personal issues like love, death, infidelity, and the struggle to keep it all together. His sound slowly developed into a more space-y, dreamy style that was heavy on story songs and synth touches throughout.…
