Today had been going pretty well minus the current situation. Quite a few books had been sold and needed to be replaced. She could've waited until the Leisure closed to shelve the replacements, but what if someone else wanted to read them? Things were going fine until Rain noticed the coworker who was supposed to be holding the ladder vanished. Calling out to him hadn't been successful and no one else was currently in the library.

Hearing the chime of someone coming in was a relief and she tried to stop shaking. "I'm sorry to bother you since came here to either buy or read but could you help me please?"

Hizashi let out an annoyed huff as he turned the corner. The villain had gotten away, though he couldn't remember how. There had been a flash- likely from the activation of a quirk-, then they were gone.

As he spotted Aizawa, he made his way over. However, when he got closer, he came to the realization that his friend was much taller than he had previously been. "Yo, Eraser! Why do you look way taller than the last time I saw you?" His brow furrowed in confusion as he peered up at the other.

“Ah yes, that’s always a difficult conundrum when it comes to Hero work. Hydrogen Peroxide usually helps with that.” He’s not going to ask where the stain came from, but he will as one thing, “You’re not injured, are you?”

“Thanks.” Shinsou nods his head, listening intently to the teacher-- maybe there was some in his foster parent’s medicine cabinet. Shinsou tries not to look guilty at the question, not really wanting to tell his mentor he had an injury. “I’m fine.” He mutters, glancing away with an obvious lie. “Just a small scratch.”

"Ah- yeah! Sorry, Sho. Didn't realize how loud I was getting. You know how Nemuri and I can get when we talk." Hizashi gave his friend a sheepish smile. He settled down into one of the office chairs next to Aizawa before letting out a sigh.

"How's grading going? You're looking over their most recent test, aren't you?" Hizashi had a stack of tests he needed to finish grading as well. He just hadn't gotten the time to look them over as of yet.

"Don't laugh! That moth was huge! It was trying to kill me!" Hizashi is hysterical as he points an accusing finger at his friend. His hands are shaking by this point, but it's difficult to tell when he's using them to gesture widely. "Insects and arachnids are awful! They're all out to kill me, yo!" There's a large frown on his face as he lets out a heavy huff.

         “Well...in an ideal world, no one does.” He paused then shook his head, laughing weakly. “I’m sorry, that...that probably sounded a little bit weird, huh?” Did he miss his Quirk? Honestly, yes. From the moment he’d lost it, the loss had left a pervading ache in his chest. A part of him had been stolen from him, gone without so much as a trace. All his hard work put into it, every bit of blood, sweat, and tears. Gone. It hurt. Still hurt, no matter how much he’d worked to try and make peace with it, but–

         “Don’t regret it, though. For Eri, I’d let it happen all over again.”

          It wasn’t in his nature to just quit something halfway or half-ass anything. He hated doing it, and it sure as hell wasn’t how he was raised either. No matter how much it hurt, Kirishima wanted to see it through to the end. Especially when it came to training. He’d worked his ass off to get in UA, and he’d be damned if he let it up even the slightest. He had too damn much to improve on. And okay, maybe keeping active helped keep any nightmares he had at bay. Sue him, everyone had their own ways of coping.

          Of course there would come a time that his body would give out. He hated to admit it, he knew it was coming. However he hadn’t expected someone to be there when it did. So when he’d moved a bit too fast and suddenly felt the ground rushing at him then stop, hearing his teacher’s voice had been a nasty shock. His jaw clenched, then he shook his head.

         “M’fine," Kirishima muttered. He’d...yeah, he’d better just get out of his grip now– “Just tripped, nothin’ t’worry about–”

He still doesn’t need the encouragement. It almost sounded like a lack of faith.
