Filming a full section and releasing it on DVD was the BMX rite of passage for the prior generation of professionals. The only familiarity the people would have with the pros would be a name added on a list or an ad in magazine. This gave new recruits an aura of mystery leaving people wondering about what they are capable of and who they are. The web changed all that. Now any potential pro builds up "web-hype" through web videos and social networking, so people are familiar with the pros even before they are pros. This Eric Bahlman took me to that time. I know I say it all the time but I hear Shadow has a video in the works and I'm excited to see what more Eric has to offer.
