Jenny Myers Headcanons

Jenny Myers is the oldest child to a loving couple with her little brother. Her parents have the ideal life for a middle class family: a decently sized home, a white picket fence, and a dog named Rover. Jenny is very close to her parents and her younger sibling, and often mothers her own parents. Jenny cares about everyone’s well-being, often opting to care for anyone in her household that gets sick; she’s just a natural caregiver. Aside from her immediate family, Jenny knows little about her extended family, she has only heard that some of them may be in Haddonfield, Illinois.

Jenny is very popular among her peers. She radiates with positivity, and always has a smile on her face, with an ear to lend. Jenny listens to her friends struggles carefully and gives amazing advice. A.J. came to her, venting about her home life, and her mother. Jenny listened, and gave her advice on how to try and work things out; even offering her a place in the Myers Home if she needed it. Jenny does not judge others as she says “I am not them. I do not have their mindset. What I can do is listen, and be there for them.” She has been the ear for Deborah, Kenny, Bugzy, and even managed to get Adam to open up to her a little. Jenny cares about her friends and family’s well-being more than anything else.

Jenny is great with kids; she can deal with all their tantrums without losing her cool. Instead of reacting negatively to their bad behaviour, Jenny opts to explain why what they did is bad and listens to them instead of immediately punishing them. Her abilities with kids made her the most requested babysitter in town. Jenny saves a lot of the money she earns from babysitting but loves taking all her friends out and spoiling them a little bit; it’s just one of the ways she shows she cares.

Jenny was pondering over whether or not she would enjoy going into social services as a career when she was contacted by Kenny, and offered a position as a counsellor. Jenny thought it would be a good way to determine if working with kids as a career would be good for her, so she accepted. Jenny would soon realize that going to Crystal Lake would put herself and those she cares for most in the worst possible danger.

Eric ‘J.R.’ Lachappa headcanons

Eric is 18 years old, and an only child. His dad is a nuclear physicist; while his mother is a primary school teacher. Eric was always shy and awkward around people including his parents, so he doesn’t talk very much or have any real close relationship with them. The lack of any skill of socializing made him a target for bullies at a young age, persisting to high school. As a loner, Eric found comfort in fantasy novels and games, along with tinkering and making small contraptions that would serve some silly purpose such as an alarm that would dump water on the sleeper if they hit snooze more than two times.

Eric didn’t really have any friends but was acquaintances with some people like Jenny who were easy to talk to and kind-hearted. It wasn’t until Vanessa “accidentally” spilled her water bottle all over Eric’s bullies that he made his first real friend. While the two were very different people, Vanessa was able to get him more comfortable talking to people and he taught her a thing or two about constructing some items that could be used for getting back at the bullies. The two became a duo that would get back at people who targeted those weaker than them.

In terms of romantic interests, Eric mostly fell for women in the fantasy world or comic books he would immerse himself in. He always had a small crush on Mary-Jane in the Spider-Man series. He was terrified of real women as he felt they would just reject him, leaving him heartbroken. Though he eventually became good friends with Vanessa, he was content with it being a platonic friendship as he would not want to lose his first real friend.

As Eric was losing himself in another novel, Vanessa called him and invited him to work with her at Crystal Lake. It took some convincing but Eric figured that he would be able to be useful with the electronics that were at the camp. He accepted Vanessa’s invitation. Eric didn’t expect the one time he allowed himself to be around other people so openly, would go so wrong.

Who do you cannon each of the counselors with?

NOTE: These are just my opinions. I’ll provide a brief explanation for each pairing.

A.J. and Adam: Before it was canon I shipped the two of them. Both have similar aesthetic and feel to their characters. Their tropes “Rocker Chick” and “The Edgy Guy” fit well together for a nice pairing.

Deborah and Tommy Jarvis: ( mostly due to @littlemissgeek8 ) I feel like the two of them just work together well. Deborah is smart, clever, and funny. She’s a positive influence for Tommy after all he has been through; and more importantly, he can help her survive. (Also, in regard to the Tommy Tapes, I just consider them an AU)

Bugzy and Tiffany: I feel like a jock and popular girl pairing is a classic signature in the slasher genre. Bugzy is strong and capable which would more than impress Tiffany. Tiffany is a very attractive young woman, the life of the party, and never dull in a conversation. I feel the two would pair very well together. (Yes, I know Tiffany and Kenny were cuddling in the virtual cabin. Honestly, I just don’t ship the two of them.)

Jenny and Chad: Jenny is very caring and kind which are traits Chad is very attracted to, but tries to downplay it. Jenny finds Chad’s antics humorous but is able to get him to do his fair share of work when needed. Chad helps Jenny loosen up a bit with everyone, while Jenny keeps Chad grounded within reality. I feel the two compliment each other, and bring out the best in each other.

Fox I feel is in a relationship with someone from her biker gang.

Kenny and Adam: Although I ship Adam with A.J. if Adam was not with her, I feel like him and Kenny would be great together. Kenny is level headed and caring, while Adam is more of a free-spirit that doesn’t want to miss out on all that life has to offer. Kenny of course wants Adam to be safe but has the time of his life loosening up with him at a party.

Vanessa and Mitch: Now hear me out on this, Vanessa is a very go-go-go, do-do-do person, she never slows down. Mitch is the exact opposite. The two balance each other out. Vanessa keeps Mitch pushing forward, while Mitch lets her slow down and smell the flowers (and the weed).

Sheldon (Shelly) and Eric LaChappa: Again, just hear me out. The two have lots in common, their tropes are “The Prankster” and “The Nerdy Guy/Class Clown” although I view them more as a BroTP, I could see it evolving into something more.

Jason is shipped with love okay, the poor boy lost his mom. He deserves love.

A.J. Mason Headcanons

Alyssa-Jane (A.J.) Mason is 20 years old and was born into a very strict catholic family. Her father was a mechanic, while her mother was a teacher. A.J. also has a younger brother. A.J. spent a lot of time with her father in the garage, tinkering with the car, and learning about various tools. She was close with her father, as he was more laid-back about rules, and generally talked to her with more respect. A.J. was never close to her mother, as her mother forced her to dress and appear as a “good catholic girl”; which A.J. despised doing ever since she was little. This attitude led to many screaming matches between A.J. and her mother, resulting in her mother angrily storming off to pray, while A.J. would go into her room, lock the door and blast her music. A.J. babysits her little brother often, and enjoys spending time with him. A.J. would teach her brother how to play bass or put on a kids movie, make popcorn and just lay back a bit before their parents came back.

When A.J. dyed her hair and began dressing “gothic” her mother nearly had an aneurysm. (Her bra was showing! *gasp!*) A.J. didn’t care though, she was going to express herself, and fuck anyone who says otherwise. The only accessory A.J. wears relating to her family is her grandmother’s cross. Her grandmother died when A.J. was eight years old, but was close with her. She remembered planting a garden with her grandmother, baking sweets, and helping her with Christmas dinner. Despite A.J. loathing her catholic upbringing, she wears the cross to remember her grandmother.

A.J. is a relatively quiet girl around people she doesn’t know. A.J. and Jenny are pretty close friends. The two would go and get hot chocolates after class ever Friday, talking about the latest intrigue, which guy tried to ask out Tiffany, which one of Lachappa‘s pranks went a little far? The girls genuinely just appreciated each other’s company. Jenny’s friendship gives her a break from her home life, allowing her to focus more on the positives. Jenny never looked at A.J. sideways when she dyed her hair; rather, Jenny complimented her new look and said they should go shopping together so Jenny can get something new in her wardrobe. Other than Jenny, A.J. and Deborah would talk often. The two were quiet girls with stricter upbringings and could relate to each other. Deborah was not able to go out very often, which did not allow the two to be as close as they could be.

A.J. and Adam got to know each other after putting a very drunk Kenny to bed at one of Tiffany’s parties. The two bonded over their mutual love of music and when Adam talked about his ride, A.J. was able to follow the conversation; even giving Adam pointers about maintaining his car, which Adam found very attractive. On their first date, A.J. snuck out of her house (10/10 stealth) and had a jam session with Adam in his garage before going to the drive-in, and seeing the latest horror movie. She and Adam kissed that night and it just felt so right to her. Ever since then, the two have been a very trusting, loving, and healthy couple, but still being able to hang out as friends with everyone else. Though the two sometimes sneak off to be alone together. The two have not had sex yet as A.J. doesn’t quite feel ready yet, and Adam respects her feelings.

When Adam told A.J. he was going to be a counsellor at the camp with Kenny, A.J. thought immediately that this is the summer she needed. A.J. would be away from her family, with Adam and their friends and she would be getting paid to watch and teach kids over the summer. She flashed one of her beautiful smiles, and said to Adam “Let’s fucking kick ass this summer!” Unfortunately for A.J. and her friends, the fun would be short lived.

Deborah Kim Headcanons

(These headcanons were heavily inspired by @littlemissgeek8 )

Deborah Kim is 19 years old. She was born into a very strict South Korean family. Both of her Deborah’s parents are second generation since her ancestors immigrated to the States. Deborah speaks Korean at home, but is just as fluent in English. Deborah’s parents were very hard on her since she was a child, ensuring she always studying, and being at the top of her class. Due to constantly having to study and being on a tight curfew, Deborah never developed strong social skills; this prevented her from having very many friends.

Into her early teens, Deborah began to long for more in her life. She began to sneak out (9/10 stealth) and mingle more with her peers whenever she could. She began to appear more often at Tiffany or Chad’s parties and was able to become friends with A.J. and Kenny to an extent. Deborah’s signature callout was adding ridiculous middle names to the others full name. When Adam was up to one of his reckless stunts, Deborah, in her authoritarian voice shouted “Adam Miguel Palomino you get off that balcony this instant!” Everyone, including Adam went with the Miguel name, with Adam seductively trying to speak Spanish. As much as people began to like Deborah’s company, due to her tight schedule and curfew, she could not meet with them anytime outside of school. This began to fuel Deborah’s ambition to go to college with everyone else so she could finally have friends, and maybe even a shot at romance.

Deborah never dated anyone due to her family’s rules on dating. She thought about getting a secret boyfriend but soon realized that it would not be fair for him. So Deborah remained focused on her books, hoping to go to college, and have her independence. Deborah got many scholarships for her amazing grades and was valedictorian. Deborah decided to take psychology classes to see if she enjoyed it. She found child psychology especially interesting.

While Deborah was getting ready for the day, she got a call from Kenny. He asked her if she would be able to be a counsellor with him and the rest of the gang over the summer. With thoughts of a summer she could finally enjoy in her head, she agreed without hesitation. As smart as Deborah was, she couldn’t have possibly anticipated the masked killer that would cross her path.
