to anyone on the outside, eric kennedy is the calm twin. while london is fire, eric is ice - instead of burning the world down around him, he preserves it, destroying it slowly as he sees fit. he prefers to watch the effect of his words, his actions, to see how it molds those around him into doing his bidding, whatever that may be. not to say that he doesn’t have a violent streak inside of him as well. in fact, his made itself known even before london’s did - while london was nearly seventeen the first time she took a life, eric had been merely fourteen, a fight escalating between him and his father that came to a violent end. and even as a young teen, eric had managed to set the scene exactly as he needed it to be - a murder appearing as a suicide attempt, his mourning an image portrayed for those around him while inside he felt strong, invincible. it was something to carry with him through the years, a secret he kept even from his very own kin. london still believes that their father simply took his own life, one of few things that grieves her, and eric can’t bear to tell her the truth. he’d do anything for her, after all. like follow her across the country, watching her seduce and destroy men and women for the mere high of it. never the same style twice, careful to keep themselves under the radar, focusing on what’s going to come next instead of the bodies they’ve lain to rest across the midwest. walden is supposed to give them a new start, to give eric a chance to stretch his own desires. while he may not fall victim to bloodlust like his sister, he still doesn’t mind watching the world burn down around them, and as they make the right connections in the small town, he’s pleased with how his influence can persuade even the most devout to crimes they’d never thought they could commit. some might call their gathering of friends a cult, but eric knows enough to skate around those trigger words. every action he makes is deliberate, every word he chooses is careful. and if a time comes where everything unravels around them, he’ll do what they do second best: run.

Eric and Brady
Brady lay in bed alone, letting a few tears leak out. He rolled over on his side, remembering the way Eric had punched him. ‘I’m not gay!’ The words played in his head over and over again, with little hope of forgetting them. He couldn’t believe the situation he had with Ryan as well, as if things couldn’t get any worse. Finally there was the thing with Lottie, and Sebastian choking him up against the wall. He sighed, thinking that if he went to sleep, at least the day could be considered in the past. He heard a knock on the door and the creak of the door’s hinges as it swung open. He didn’t get up from his bed or even turn on the lights.
