Thoughts on Zohran Mamdani: A Communist POV. Stop Pinning US Leftist Hopes on Democratic Party Election Wins
THE CITY reported the incident to law enforcement and was promptly contacted by the Brooklyn U.S. attorney’s office.
Eric Adams' recent 'woes' can B directly attributed 2 his critique of 'Jim Crow Joe' Biden's Immigration Agenda. He has advantages over Brandon Johnson, so he can finesse his way 2 another Term in Office...
I suggest that he works on his Outline 4 a Black Agenda in NYC.
-Just Saying
The fact that Adams can joke about his own corruption case shows he thinks his supporters don’t care about this whole corruption business. That it’s not a big deal. And he’s right. No one really cares about corruption anymore in America. Trump, in his special way, showed how true this is. His entire second presidency has been filled with corrupt self-dealing — with his family’s pay-to-play crypto scams being the most obvious. I think a lot of people now just assume that you gotta be corrupt to get ahead. That everyone is corrupt.
Another way America is a lot like 90s Russia: no one cares about corruption anymore
From his bizarre antics to his outright corruption, Adams is a true creature of New York City—one who’s changed the city forever.
The indictment revealed that much of the alleged corruption stemmed from deeply discounted Turkish Airlines tickets and expensive flight upgrades. Selling out your city and your country for cheaper airfare feels so true-blue American—after all, have you looked at Google Flights lately?—and Adams cashed the hell out. According to the indictment, the general manager of Turkey’s national airline himself, in texts with an Adams aide, offered to charge the mayor $50 for flights to Istanbul. According to the indictment, the aide replied: “No, dear. $50? What? Quote a proper price[…] His every step is being watched right now. $1,000 or so. Let it be somewhat real. We don’t want them to say he is flying for free. At the moment, the media’s attention is on Eric.”
Trent Pool runs Public Appeal, a Wyoming-based company that helped Adams gather petitions.
