Augmented deliberation-Urban Planning
Augmented deliberation: Merging physical and virtual interaction to engage communities in urban planning is about introducing the concept of augmented deliberation. The community had a huge park project in Boston by connecting everyone online in a virtual space all at one to give their input on what they wanted to see and get done in 3D rather than on paper with outlines of where things could be placed.
My artifact shows what the picture would simulate for when the community gets a visual of what the park would look like. It is almost like a Sims game where you can see what it is going on. This would tie into interface, bringing the community all together by using technology, allowing everyone to engage with what is happening.
I think that this project that they created by using a visual simulation has really changed how people are going to structure layouts and in future projects, it will be easier for everyone to get involved with and get a good picture of what it would really look like benefiting everyone.
