I don't know what's with the forces of the universe today, but something happened just moments ago which made me genuinely happy. :)

Eric just visited me here at work. 

And so I went out of the office for a while, he accompanied me to buy donuts from Krispy Kreme (which was a failed attempt cus the line was too long), after which we ended up just buying ice cream from Dairy Queen instead. He paid for mine too, by the way.

Yes, Eric just paid me a surprise visit here at work and bought me an ice cream.

Thesis Acknowledgements.

To the Heavenly Father, for showering us with priceless blessings in the form of our wonderful families and supportive friends; for never ceasing to provide us with the guidance, strength, and wisdom that we needed to get where we are now, and that we need to get to wherever we are headed; but most especially, for giving us the chance to experience best gift anyone could ask for: life.

To our families, for always putting their best foot forward when it comes to providing us with the best life they can possibly give; for being first ones responsible for molding us; but ultimately, for unconditionally loving the persons we have become, faults and all.

To Sir Ricky Clores, for being patient enough in dealing with our endless mischief and constantly pushing us to try and reach our full potential; but most of all, for never failing to put a huge smile on our faces with his mere presence.

To Mam Rianne Cañete, for never getting tired of entertaining our concerns, even down to the most petty ones, and for being the optimist that she is in endlessly providing us the encouragements that we very much needed.

To J01 Niño Alpapara, for making things easier for us and never hesitating to attend to our needs, and for making us feel safe and secured during the times we were visiting in the jail.

To Ate Vi, for the mouth-watering feasts that kept us fueled during our lamay nights; for keeping the house the most conducive and comfortable place for writing; but most importantly, for the love and quiet support that we know she has for us.

To Jerico Siochi and Eric Reyes, for being our thesis buddies, providing us with their wonderful company whenever they can and offering us their unwavering confidence and support; for being our first-line critics, challenging our ideas until the very end; and above all, for being our friends, because no matter how exasperating they can get sometimes, one thing is for sure: our life in college wouldn’t be as treasurable if it weren’t for them.

To Porwan (PSY41, Batch 2011), for broadening our horizons and showing us that reshuffling wasn’t such a bad idea after all; for redefining the concept of fun and giving a whole new importance to laughter; and for letting us experience the sense of an incomparable unity and acceptance which made us feel supported and loved.
