I’ve reached the last chapter, just started though, and all I can say is....
ERIKA YOU AIRHEADED SHITLORD, I’M GONNA ASFAGHSKLASLANA
I love the second game so much.
I am desperately craving a drink but I'm not legal for another 3 weeks and all my friends are busy is this what hell is
I JUST WANNA MEET A REALLY CUTE DUDE WITH A REALLY NICE BEARD AND IS REALLY GOOD WITH A BROADSWORD IS THIS TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR?
With the flick of his wrist, the male swiftly placed his chess piece onto the board, locking his opponent into what was an imminent checkmate. He had decided that he would play by the normal chess rules for once, just for a trivial moment of gaming with the female in front of him. But he was quickly becoming bored.
Erika’s eyes narrowed, stroking a hand on her chin. For a moment it seemed like she was putting her mind in the game, deliberating over which was the possible move.
Her hand hovered over one of her pawns, shaking just a little.
No… no. That wasn’t the right move.
She removed the hand.
After a few seconds she lowered the hand again, this time aiming swiftly for a rook—
Was that really what she wanted to do? No…
Her eyes flickered up to him, glimmering darkly. This was Izaya’s game — he was the master of this game. But if she did this correctly… if she beat Izaya-chan at his own game, there’d be a new chess master in Ikebukuro.
"Tch," she smirked, tilting her chin up, "This is the end for you… Iza-chan."
She grabbed her Queen piece and launched it all the way across the board, knocking his knight to the floor along with half of the other pieces, all rolling down like bowling pins.
"YAHTZEE!" she shrieked, standing up and tossing her hands up into the air, excitement evident on her face.
This is your reminder that Erika has my wannabe Jake picture saved to her computer.
HAPPY NEW YEAR JESSICA
Submitted by lelied:
“We aren’t watching anything from your resume, Pitts,” Tim says like it’s final.
“Aw, that rules out some real treasures, though,” Jacob says with a smirk and fake offense. “I do good work.”
Tim snorts and counters with, “Eurotrip.”
Jacob throws some of the popcorn across Jessica at Tim’s head. “Fuck you. That shit was funny.”
They’re all sitting on the couch, blankets and popcorn already made up and ready for them to watch something. But plans had been derailed when they’d learned that Jacob had picked out - well.
“We’re not going to watch The Pacific,” Tim repeats firmly, the arm around Jessica’s shoulder squeezing like he isn’t aware he’s doing it. “I have a policy about not stroking your ego.”
Jacob wiggles his eyebrows and leers, “You’ll stroke whatever I tell you to. And anyway,” he looks down at Jessica, who has mostly been sinking down and back between them, not wanting to get involved, “we have a tiebreaker right here. What do you say? Hoosier or no Hoosier?”
Put on the spot, Jessica tries to reason her way through the pros and cons. “Are you going to recite any of the lines along with him…yourself? That might get weird.”
“C’mon, that’s just good fun. How about next time, we kick this stick-in-the-mud out,” he flicks at Tim’s ear, gets smacked in the wrist, “and get a friend of mine to come and recite his own lines? James and I, or rehearsals used to get pretty interesting when we went off script…”
Jessica can feel herself turning colors. Like, seriously, her brain might be boiling. “Augh, stop! You said you’d stop doing the, you know, the sexy voice and the leaning in thing. I don’t have any defenses. I call time out.”
“No Pacific today,” Tim says, satisfied, and clicks over to some Black Donnellys.
A few minutes in, Jessica whispers to Jacob, “Although yes a thousand times to introducing me to James Badge Dale. Good thought, full scores, get that to happen.”
