lennon, grew up in a small family: her parents, petar and kathleen, herself, and the family’s pet bunny, petals (a name her mother chose). it was from all accounts aggressively normal for the first seven years of lennon’s life. that was until the car crash that changed the markovski’s forever.
lennon quickly learned how to care for herself and others because her parent’s mentally just couldn’t. petar and kathleen, would have rather found different ways to get lost in their own minds by the use of different prescription drugs than take care of their own daughter. lennon didn’t mind, though, to her young mind this was her new normal. she didn’t truly realize the actions she had to take were wrong for a minor. these were her parents and lennon did what her parents needed even if that meant forgetting about what she needed.
fast forward eighteen years to a wised up lennon, who no longer spoke to her drug addicted excuse of parents, the beauty was making it the best she could. she now managed the books store she started working at from the very young age of fourteen. the bookstore owner, looked at lennon as somewhat of a daughter, they spent holidays and birthdays together. in a weird way, the two lost souls made their own weird version of a family. it wasn’t much but it was all lennon had -- that and that stupid fucking bunny, petals, that just reminds, lennon, of her mom, or as lennon refers to her as “the blonde one”.

so, alan is something else. a piece of work if you want to be nice about it. he’s not the best of people & he’s never claimed to be. he’s harsh, rude, very insensitive to how others are feeling ( often times the case is, he doesn’t know or he doesn’t care ) & can overall be somewhat of an asshole. but that’s mostly because he’s definitely not a people person. he enjoys his own space, the number of friends he has is slim to none, people generally know not to approach him.
& what’s the perfect job for someone who’s not a people person, you might ask? a book store clerk, duh. alan is definitely not thrilled about his job, but he’s been working there for so long that the job is the last thing he complains about.
he works for a family owned book store that’s renown for it’s collection of comic books & graphic novels. it’s about the only book store in erith springs you can find such an impressive collection. so, naturally he has to deal with ‘nerds’ all day long. he doesn’t see what the big deal is-- he doesn’t like comics himself. or so he claims. it’s not like he’s been reading them since he was a kid ( not that anyone knows of ). he doesn’t like to be associated with something so childish & ‘stupid’ as he likes to put it.
if it wasn’t obvious already, alan was definitely the type to bully kids & take their lunch money in high school. he didn’t have many friends by choice, but it never helped that people were either afraid of him or just didn’t like him as a person. he got into fights. a lot. the amount suspensions he had rivaled his actual attendance.
he has a temper on him-- he’s very easily irked, angered or annoyed. but that can often be surprising for those who don’t know him by reputation. at work he holds a generally stoic expression, monotone voice & nonchalant disposition. but of course, if he does appear otherwise-- it’s usually a look of annoyance, or a simple warning for someone to back off & leave him be. either way, he never looks like someone you want to be friends with.
he’s not all bad. he’s just someone who holds a lot of anger in him & isn’t always sure how to express himself. on that note, though... his one outlet is & always has been working out. he spends a lot of time jogging around town or working out on the beach. or hogging the arcade punching bag at the amusement park. he’s just a big idiot.
his life is all work, fighting & hookups. honestly. he doesn’t sleep around half as much as people claim he does, his reputation definitely argues otherwise, but he’s at least somewhat selective. depending on the day. he can be charming when he wants to be.
alan lives with his parents in a trailer park across town. it’s a good while away from the center of the town & the beach, but he walks to work every day. he doesn’t bring people home with him. partly because he’s never had anyone to really bring home-- & partly because he’s embarrassed of where he comes from, even though it’s common knowledge where he lives. it’s been the topic of many fights over the years.
when it comes to his looks, he’s a very ‘baggy ripped jeans, worn down combat boots, low side tank tops’ kind of person. his hair is messy, he’s almost always got a bruise or cut lip & does give the overall vibe of someone you don’t want to piss off. he’s got a few tattoos here & there too!
basically, he’s a punk idiot whose self worth fluctuates more than the weather. he’s also not the biggest fan of the amount of attraction the town gets, especially around summer, so that never helps anything. fun fact: he also goes by junior. mostly.

elijah was the youngest of three siblings born to a well - off middle class family in ruston, louisiana, with his older brothers having seniority over him by a few years.
being the youngest, a lot was expected of elijah. his parents had hoped he’d follow in his brothers footsteps, with one moving on to be a lawyer & another finding success elsewhere & a new family of his own to show for it.
with the constant pressure to conform to his parents idea of ‘a son they could be proud of’ elijah strayed further & further from their expectations. now, their relationship wasn’t bad-- in fact, despite the growing distance caused by disappointment & polar opposite perspectives, they did love their son. & he loved them too. they wanted what was best for him, but they had a very strict opinion of what that was.
by nature, he was nothing like his brothers. while they thrived on success, elijah focused on the bigger picture. he could never see himself working an office job or spending every hour of every day listening to an old man who lost all his potential in his own youth telling him what, where & when to be. no, that wasn’t elijah.
his relationship with his brothers weren’t strained either. of course, he never appreciated the constant comparisons & ‘why can’t you be more like your brother?’ remarks his mother would make over coffee every morning, but they were a good family. they understood how their parents could be & while they wanted to see elijah succeed, they wanted him to succeed in what he wanted to do. or at least the eldest did. & he wasn’t shy of making that known. when he was told to follow what he wanted to, that was the day elijah knew his brother had been destined to be a father, just as much as he’d been meant for other things.
his first year out of high school was tough. he’d managed to graduate, got his diploma & made his parents proud. however, things became much more real to him when his days of smoking behind the bleachers, playing trombone in the school band every pep rally & barely escaping trouble were over. his parents were furious when they discovered he’d not applied for any colleges-- not even the ones they recommended as second, third or fifth choice. he was intelligent, he could get accepted anywhere if he tried. his teachers always said he could be brilliant if he just made the effort. his mother wept & cried about how he’d never get anywhere if he kept doing what he was.
that night elijah carrol left the town of ruston for good. a few beers & a handful of joints after their fight had led him to having the epiphany that he should just leave. go wherever he wanted, do whatever he wanted, be whoever he wanted. he packed what he could, left a note for his family, traded in his car for a new set of wheels & left. he was nineteen. & he’s been on the road every since.
personality wise, elijah is very laid-back! he’s a big people person. he loves talking, opening up to people, hearing their stories, being someone they can confide in regardless of who they are. he’s been known to pick up hitchhikers here & there.
because he wants to live his life to the fullest, he can be brash with his decisions sometimes! he can fail to think things through entirely before he does them. which is partially how he ended up with a van full of people he travels with.
he just wants to experience everything! good, bad & ugly. he does believe life is truly beautiful & in his own opinion, he’s seen enough of it to attest to that. he’s a firm believer that people shouldn’t to live up to anyone’s expectations or standards. he wants people to be true to themselves, what they want & helping them go for it. because of this, he’s obviously very open-minded & accepting of a lot. he gets very enthusiastic about people & the things they’re passionate about. he’s the biggest hype man.
he’s definitely a stoner. he smokes a lot, occasionally drinks, won’t turn down much. he lives by the ‘i’ll try anything once’ mantra-- with the exception of a few things. think of travis from clueless when it comes to elijah’s overall vibe!
unlike most summer birds, elijah discovered erith springs by chance. he was just passing through when he found the town & saw so much potential that he decided to prolong his stay. he stays in his van & can be found parked up on the lot of the beach homes, keeping close to the beach.

ajax noah larsen was born to cecilia larsen & alton larsen. his mom was a local-grown florist & his dad worked on the novak’s farm.
both his mom & his dad were erith spring locals as well, same as their parents. so growing up there was no doubt in the larsen family that they would ever leave the town.
the house that the larsen’s grew up in had been passed down from generation to generation. given to the eldest son of the larsens each time. it was only natural that as the first born, ajax would end up getting the house.
he was an only child growing up yet his parents said they wouldn’t have minded having another child if it came up.
for the most part ajax was raised as a sweet boy with manners & all that stuff ! like you open the door for girls, you go up and knock on doors instead of sit outside & honk. his parents raised him to be the good guy.
probably starting at the age of eight or so, he had started helping out with his dad on the novak’s farm - only during the summer though ! ( because school is important y’know ? )
once ajax turned seventeen though, his parents decided that they have been in erith for long enough ? they loved the town but wanted to go out & explore the world
they also knew that ajax would stay at erith to be able to continue their family traditions & whatnot.
ajax was kind of upset when his parents left ? he grew up being told that the larsens family had been in erith for YEARS & there were so many family traditions they had & all the local business owners knew who they were
but in the end ajax got a four bedroom house all to himself for when he was ready to start his own family which was cool but he doesn’t actually know if he’ll ever settle down
ajax is a bean & still works on the novak’s farm
he’s completed high school & is going to college know to be a veterinarian ! he’s currently a dog walker but doesn’t have many bills to pay since the house is already paid off
