I'm new to lolita and I am a bit worried about buying clothes and accessories off the Internet. When I buy things online usually stick to buying off eBay, would it be alright to buy lolita clothing off of eBay or it better to buy from websites that specialize in lolita fashion? One of my main concerns is that if I buy off eBay the quality will be inferior to if I bought it elsewhere.

I would highly recommend looking elsewhere. A large number of the things you'll find when looking for Lolita on ebay will be one of the following: Horrible quality and nothing like what is shown in the picture, something that was bought from TaoBao and resold on ebay for a higher price, ita monstrosities, or just not Lolita in the slightest.There are so many scams and sketchy shops on ebay that it's best to just stay away, especially if you're a beginner, and go to shops that are known in the Lolita community to have good quality. There are some things that are safe to buy from ebay, but I would just stay clear of it until you've been in the fashion for a while.
