a bit about their clothes:

I have used the books Palestinian Costume by Jehan S. Rajab, Traditional Palestinian Embroidery and Jewelry by Abed Al-Samih Abu Omar and Palestinian Embroidery by Widad Kawar and Tania Tamari Nasir as my main references for the looks I have created. Sinocia’s entire attire is inspired by the style in the region of Ramallah, which are known for their distinct patterns in their embroidery and the red, white and black colors. Ermile’s, on the other hand, is based on the style worn in Hebron. This style uses mostly dark colored fabrics and introduces pink and yellow threads in their embroidery. Some accessories come from different regions in Palestine. For example, Ermile’s jacket (taqsireh) comes from the region of Bethlehem but is worn all throughout the country.
