Extinct dogsona time!! Their name is Ermyne and they're a turnspit dog from 15th century England (late medieval to early Tudor period). A lowly animal with crooked legs and a morose personality, who has been reared from puppyhood on a wholesome and fortifying diet of tallow greaves and barley-meal. It's hard to say whether they've eaten a single scrap of meat in their life.
They're one of several kitchen dogs kept by an urban tavern, all of whom take turns running in a dog wheel to turn roasting meat over a roaring fire, and their fur is sometimes singed from having hot coals thrown at them when they slack off. On Sundays, the cook takes them to church to use them as a foot-warmer. Ermyne loves going to church, it's enrichment for them!
Needless to say, Ermyne is my realsona, and their life is completely indistinguishable from my life <3
