Attack for Garrot. I famously love drawing normal dogs, and this one has been trained as a pointer for upland bird hunting. Ukko is there too, and seems accustomed to being pointed at.

Ancient Sumer is a historical setting I really enjoy, and I'm always delighted to see OCs from that time period. The ceramic bird vessel is based on a real artifact from the Early Dynastic I Period.

Playing around with a looser line art and shading style, and I really love how it turned out.

Ilmari Kokkoniemi, Mimori's business partner and the president of Urobune, Inc. A real estate mogul who originates from the Finnish lakeland, specifically the region of South Karelia. He took on an advisory role when the company was just starting out. Although he isn't that much older than Mimori, he has a great deal more experience than her in the realm of business. Mimori might be the face of Urobune, but Ilmari is the one who keeps the whole operation running smoothly. An avid appreciator of heritage fashion and the outdoors, he disdains the flashy nightlife scene of Tokyo and prefers to lead a quiet, private life. He often blends traditional Japanese and contemporary and folk Finnish aesthetics into his outfits, and possesses the cosmopolitan taste of someone well-traveled. He had a very eventful life before taking on his current role, but he keeps his personal history under lock and key.

Holofernes is now a xigou, with a proper anthro design. They love wearing cutoffs and dangerously short shorts like I do in real life. The necklace is one that I've been wearing a lot recently, it's a ceramic pendant with a deer hoofprint.

Mosca and Moloch take a lot more after their mothers than their father, at least in looks. Vigoroso is the patriarch of the del Verme family, with a very traditional view of gender roles and a harsh, domineering approach to child rearing. His wife Magdalini is an artist from a similarly wealthy family of Greek origin, who had very little involvement in raising Mosca despite being present for the entirety of his childhood. Vigoroso had a brief affair with Placidia, an emotionally troubled woman whose conservative Catholic family disapproved of her having a child out of wedlock. She would later abandon the infant Moloch in a foundling wheel somewhere in Calabria, but not before burdening him with a derogatory name — a name that the nuns at the children's home opted not to put on his legal paperwork.

Michio, a dockworker, walked out on his wife and child when Mimori was very young, having become disillusioned with married life. Now freed from a tepid marriage and suddenly having to support herself as a young single mom, Yukine took on various jobs in hostess clubs, which in turn fueled an irresponsible, hard-partying lifestyle. Mimori grew up something of a social pariah in her neighborhood, as Yukine had relationships with married men, and was the cause of multiple divorces in the local community.

Duke Strapp does not have nearly as dramatic a story as the others, he's just Darlene's dirtbag older brother. He struggles to hold down a decent job and hangs out at disreputable bars.

Technically a concept piece that I may or may not ever fix up into a proper ref, but here's an outfit redesign for human!Moloch (which I will also apply to his dog version). I forget how much I've ever talked about him here, but he runs a nightclub and takes inspiration from Greco-Roman mystery religions (and other eclectic historical interests) for his personal aesthetic.
