Job for a Best Friend

General Notes: Wendla goes to visit her best friend while he's sick.
Wendla couldn't believe that everyone seemed to be sick. First Ilse, now Ernst. Hopefully the pattern didn't continue. Eventually they'd get to the point where no one had anyone to visit them, or, perhaps, where they just passed the virus back and forth and it took forever for everyone to get well again. That wouldn't be fun.
Ilse, thankfully, had Moritz. Wendla knew that he'd look after her and make sure that she was comfortable and taken care of. While she didn't know much about Ernst's relationship, Wendla didn't get the idea that Hanschen was exactly the nurturing type. Therefore, she'd decided it was a job for a best friend. She'd spent the morning putting together a care package to take over and spend some time with him. There was soup, cookies, and plenty of their favorite movies. She figured they could have a marathon.
So, when she reached his home, she knocked and spoke to his mother before being allowed to go up to his room. Pausing at the door, she knocked. "Ernst? It's Wendla. Can I come in?"
