Erebos by Ursula Poznanski
Part of my goal of 2013 was to review more books. I read plenty, but often.. I do forget to review and then I forget that I have a Tumblr account.
----------
Erebos by Ursula Poznanski - I was very excited to read this book. I used to play a lot of Role Playing Games for the PC growing up, so there were some things that I connected with very well.
I enjoyed both worlds - reality and virtual created by the author here. When I started this book, I thought it would be a .hack mock-off, but surprisingly it really wasn't nor is it a mock off of Sword Art Online.
Erebos is a virtual fantasy game and kids cannot buy the game. They have to be selected for the game. After that, strange things begin to happen.
I would like to recommend this book to both girls and boys, because it has appeal to both. There are girl and boy gamers in the book despite the main character being a male.
One thing that I would like to point out is that there is the element of having morals. The characters have to come to terms with certain events and I appreciated the moral moral dilemma within the characters.
While I received this book from Netgalley, I have purchased the book for my library.
