Why was he running away? Wasn't that already obvious? No one in their right mind would have just stood there and spoke casually with a talking arm. Not when it was speaking of dead fetuses being beautiful and wanting to burn a sculpture of his best friend's face made out of pencils. "Stay back! I'll hurt you if I have to."

He took a cautious step back from whatever this thing was, praying to the heavens that he hoped this was only a dream or more appropriately, a nightmare. Of all the strange things that could have possibly approached him it had to be a talking arm. A rather familiar one at that too.
"I’m perfectly fine, thank you." Another step back and a couple of more to create a safe distance between them. No way was he going near this, this thing. ”You can keep my pencils. I don’t need them.”
