I don't know why everyone hates Dr. Liu, she's like a grandmother to me.

I don't know why everyone hates Dr. Liu, she's like a grandmother to me.
Oh boy. Mechanics of Materials (ES 331) and Structural Analysis (CE 431) with Dr. Liu were doozies!
She had a thick accent that nobody understood and her teaching methods were a little outdated. I remember this one time she asked students to read the syllabus out loud and when it got to what I assume is a crusty, watches-every-episode-of-battlestar-galactica-and-goes-to-battlestar-galactica-debates-with-a-thirst-for-blood he was like "I'm sorry, I don't read things out loud in class. It's beneath me." OMFG DIS BITCH! But Dr. Liu didn't understand! She just kept asking him to read! And it was so awkward!
I've got a ton of stories.
So she does it so if you get a problem right on exams she has you write the solution on the board and explain. This is going to sound like college kid problemz, but I was up there every. time. And I could feel all those kids just watching me in contempt. And I was like I'm sorry I'm better than all of you!
So that's how I became her favorite student.
