Q: What was eSahara's thinking in signing HongUn and what do you think he can bring to the team? A: We signed hongun for 3 reasons: 1) he's really good, popular and amazing. 2) he already had two of his former team mates in our team, it's really good for team spirit to have those three under eSahara's banner 3) cuz I love carriers
#3 flawless answer, eSahara knows what the fans want, finally someone understands, etc etc.
HongUn third Korean to join eSahara
Ahn 'HongUn' Hong Wook is the third (not counting "pepe" - more info here) to join French powerhouse eSahara.
After welcoming South Korean and former Prime player Kwan Han 'Maka' Eul, eShara welcome yet another Korean player and bolster there roster incredibly. The Protoss player was also formerly of Prime, and has had some magnificent places at events such as GSL and MLG.
HongUn said this on the eSahara website:
"I am happy to join my former team mates Maka and Check in eShara. It is a great opportunity for us and I hope to join as much American and European competitions as soon as possible!"
eSahara's StarCraft 2 team now bolsters:
Kwan Han ‘Maka’ Eul (Terran)
Santeri ‘Naama’ Lahtinen (Terran)
Souaib ‘cArn’ Hanaf (Terran)
Ahn 'HongUn' Hong Wook (Protoss)
Artem ‘VERDI’ Avramenko (Protoss)
Georgiy ‘Ackiy’ Baikov (Protoss)
Madeleine ‘MaddeLisk’ Leander (Zerg)
Lee Hyung ‘Check’ Joo (Zerg)
Andrei ‘DeathAngel’ Nodea (Zerg)
Never twice without a third! HongUn, formerly of Prime, has rejoined his former teammates Maka & Check! Protoss player Ahn "HongUn" Hong Wook has joined eSahara alongside his two former teammates, making the transition easily in spite of the language barrier and time zone difference. He is a player who has shown impressive results in the GSL and has participated in MLG Orlando, where he beat HerO and July. He has proven himself a strong Protoss player capable of great things! Ahn "HongUn" Hong Wook "I am happy to rejoin my former teammates Maka and Check in eSahara. This is a great opportunity for all of us, and I hope to participate in many competitions in Europe and America as soon as possible!"
[Note: I haven't studied French in years, but I'm pretty confident in this translation.]
Two more Europeans to Korea
eSahara will be sending two of our their StarCraft 2 players to South Korea where they will look to train and participate in GSL. Finnish Terran player Senteri 'Naama'Lahtinen and Romanian Zerg Andrei 'DeathAngel' Nodea will be the lucky travelers.
The two will head to Korea on 11 January and will be in Team ProS' house in Seoul. Naama seems very excited to go:
I'm excited to go to South-Korea! I will never thank eSahara enough for giving me such an opportunity! My aim is to reach my highest level and to offer very good results, watch out Koreans, the "SCV Train" is coming!
