I recently found some Escaflowne doujinshi covers I screenshotted a long time ago from a vintage fansite I found on the Internet Archive. I don't have credits or titles for the doujinshi but I thought the community might enjoy seeing them. If anyone knows the artist credits, please add them in the comments.

It is so interesting how different artists depict Dilandau, either playing up the feminine or masculine characteristics of my favourite character. My favourite piece is the stark black, red, and white artwork of Dilandau, showing their ferocious side in its full glory.

I have my own unique way of drawing Dilandau too, with a lot of influence from 19th century art of Joan of Arc and from Keiko Takemiya's iconic character Gilbert Cocteau from her controversial manga series Kaze to Ki no Uta.

Hi Escaflowne fans!

I have been hearing about joining the Escaflowne community on Discord. I haven't used Discord before and I've mostly heard about it as a place for gamers to get into arguments and "mods with kittens" - whatever that means...

If there is an Escaflowne Discord community, how does one find it and join it? Thanks in advance for your help.

Escaflowne Movie Night

I think sometime this or next weekend we should have an Esca-group meetup for those who wanna watch/chat with the fandom on Rabbit. There will be AMVs, talk of fandom stuff, and all around Esca Chat Sunday, April 15th of this year. This will be a later hours thing for at least myself, but I can talk with @radical-rad1986 or @millerna for freeing up that day to help assist me. 

I have the series and movie on my google drive so we dont have to worry about youtube. This will be the original Ocean Dub.

Escaflowne Fandom Meet!

It’s that time again!

So summer vacation is pretty much nearly over at least for some of us. And I’m about to have some free time so let’s get back on weekly/every other week/few days a month fandom meet ups!

We’ve seen a few new faces recently posting art and whatnot so we’d like to definitely invite everyone to join us!

FAQ:  Where? Rabb.it you can access it via Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or mobile! (url this weekend is https://www.rabb.it/drkstars) Is it voice chat?  Nope! We do text only, generally because we have music going or the show! What do you do there? We’ll talk about the show, what we’re working on in the fandom, what’s coming up (things like Halloween, Nanowrimo, Yearly Esca, Escaflowne Secret Santa, and Escaflowne Week!) What time?? It’s a little last minute but this week’s meet is Sunday (Aug 13th, 2017) through the day. I’ll try to get the room up and running by 10AM EST But I can't make it! That’s ok! We’re gonna try to do these more often again so hopefully everyone will be able to join! And i’ll be putting out notices a bit more in advance the next times. Also WE STILL HAVE SLACK that we use pretty much every day and we have a great time with it. So if you’re wanting to join us there just give me or @millerna a shout with your email address and we’ll add you!

So give us a like/reblog/reply if you’re interested in showing up to this or even future events!

Escaflowne Fandom Meet-up!

Prospective Meet-up Dates: Saturday, March 18th 2017 or/and Sunday, March 19th 2017

Time: Let’s shoot for an all day meet! I’ll be off and on during the day but I’ll probably open the Rabbit Room 9AM EST Saturday morning and have it go all day.  Sunday will probably be evening time meet up. Its all in the air.

Place: Rabb.it (browser based chat rooms that allow broadcasting of websites where every person can watch/listen to the presenter. Available on most browsers except Safari and they do have a mobile app for iPhone and Android.) I’ll provide a link to my room when the time comes! What we do: TALK ABOUT ESCAFLOWNE! Well.. we can get off on tangents but that’s ok! We talk fandom stuff, we discuss fics and art, we talk meta, and we even delve a bit into collections! 

Why: Everyone’s been kinda going through the ringer these last weeks and I think it would be a great time to get together and have some time relaxing with others.

Escaflowne Fandom MeetUp

Hey everyone! @millerna and I proposed to do a meet up tonight! We’ve nearly made it through two months of the new year and I’m hoping everything has calmed down enough for us all to take some time and relax together and talk about the upcoming year of Fandom! 

If you would like to join sometime this afternoon/evening (Feb 20th 2017), the door to my Rabbit room will open at about 6pm EST (Wondering what time that is for you?). If you’d like to join, please let us know (or literally just show up)!

We’ll have some escaflowne music playing, maybe watch a couple episodes? Discuss projects, the @yearlyesca prompts and maybe plan for the next character birthday?

Escaflowne Fandom Meetup

It’s that time again! 

@millerna mentioned doing one this friday/saturday evening if everyone was for it.

 We’re gonna go ahead and open the room 5pm PST/8PM EST, Friday Jan 13th, 2017. (Saturday meet up still in consideration)
