WOH, Episode 10, Part 16. WKX enjoys watching the hidden terror of his Ten Devils subordinates and their reaction to his praise. He orders them to stand. The Ghosts look slightly confused, unsure of WKX's next reaction, and they remain kneeling. This behavior finally irritates WKX, and in a menacing voice, he tells them he told them to stand. To emphasize his words, he unfolds a fan and throws it at the Ghosts, who duck to avoid being hit. The fan returns to WKX, and the Ghosts meekly stand up. Only LFM remains seated in her chair, but WKX ignores her, as she is the hostess of the place. WKX says she deserves credit for it and gets up from her chair, approaches LFM, and asks her if she enjoyed the funerals. WKX knows perfectly well that this is the manor where the funerals were held, and he continues to ask her if it's true that he had a good idea. LFM remains silent, while WKX stands and stares ahead, saying that watching all these hypocrites show their true colors and kill each other like animals is probably more fun than if LFM were to kill them herself. LFM is sparing with words and responds to WKX, calling him "sir" and saying he's wise. Hearing these words, WKX laughs and continues saying that the Danyang Sect protects evil people and allows evil practices. He believes that Lu Tai Chong deserved everything that happened to him. He then turns to the woman and says that she could have killed all the Danyang Sect disciples, but Lu Tai Chong died of anger. WKX is clearly displeased and explains that he wanted to take him alive and deal with him slowly. Finally, he says, "What a waste." WKX criticizes LFM for this behavior and clearly accuses her of making a mistake. What WKX says isn't just accusing LFM, but also showing the other ghosts that he has no mercy for any of them when they fail to meet his expectations, and that they should remember that. WKX states that he won't reward the woman, but he won't punish her either. We don't yet know the reason for WKX's behavior toward LFM. WKX looks at the woman, who remains calm, and asks if she accepts his decision. The woman calmly states that she does. WKX looks at LFM with a mysterious smile and finally declares that she made a great decision. WKX turns to the other ghosts and says that he intends to discuss their next deed. The ghosts stand in humble poses, looking at the floor, and WKX approaches them, saying that the slaughter of the Mirror Lake Sect was carried out in a single night and, laughing, claps his hands. He states that it was a good job and asks who did it. The Ghosts remain silent, unsure how to respond to WKX or who to point at. They glance at each other furtively. They know WKX is unpredictable and what he might do if he hears their answer. KWX, seemingly surprised, asks the Ghosts if that person isn't among them. Then, as if discovering the truth, he states that this means it was Long-Tongued Ghost's affair. When the Ghosts thought WKX wouldn't pursue the matter, he asks Changing Ghost where his subordinate is. The leader of the Ten Devils bows deeply and humbly tells WKX, as their leader, that since they left the valley, Long-Tongued Ghost has stopped obeying his orders. WKX looks intently at the Ghost with an unreadable expression. Changing Ghost further explains that he suspects he betrayed them and fled. He then adds that the massacre at the Mirror Lake Sect was also his doing. Ghost hopes that his explanations will satisfy WKX, but he does not expect that WKX has already seen through his machinations and his smile is just a pretense and a warning not to deceive anyone.

WOH, episode 10, part 15. A young woman agrees to GX's suggestion for a song she's chosen and says she needs to tune her zither. A silent CWN repeats the song title GX mentioned in his head and ponders that the girl is trying to tell him something through the song. He begins to imagine that GX actually likes him and wants to convey this through the song. He has no idea that he's just a pawn in a game played by GX and WKX. GX is simply taking advantage of his naivety so that she can fulfill WKX's plans. Elsewhere, LQQ walks the city streets accompanied by another girl, both wearing face veils. They stop near Qing Yu Tower. One of the boards contains a sheet with mysterious markings. LQQ looks at the board and seems to recognize that the symbols are a coded message. The other girl says that the leader has been asking about her. LQQ knows what to do now. WKX is in the Luo Manor, and his subordinates from the Ten Devils are also present there. WKX has already put behind him the sadness and despair he experienced after the deaths of the Sages of Anji and the departure of the ZZS. He has once again suffered loss, but has regained his composure and realized he must continue with his plan. WKX sits in a seat of honor, and most of the ghosts kneel before him. WKX says he allowed the three Ghosts from Qingya Mountain to break their oath and leave the valley so they could capture Hanging Ghost and recover the Glazed Armor he stole. Despite this, they found no trace of him, but they have caused the others a lot of trouble. WKX looks displeased and holds his folded fan in his hands. The tragicomic Ghost, sitting near WKX, remains calm and serious. Happy Ghost laughs and covers his mouth with his hands to avoid upsetting his leader, and WKX continues that they held three funerals, annihilated the Danyang Sect, annihilated the Mirror Lake Sect, killed the Sect leader at Tai Peak, and provoked the Five Lakes Alliance by dumping the body in a public place. WKX states that three months were enough to destroy the twenty-year ceasefire between Ghost Valley and the Five Lakes Alliance. The ghosts stare at the floor submissively, unsure of what WKX intends to do. They are aware that he is unpredictable, and even if he speaks calmly, they can expect the worst. WKX knows he must feign madness, for that is the only way he can control the plotting ghosts. Only KFM sits and stares straight ahead. WKX states that this is very good, really very good. The ghosts are a bit surprised by this statement, as it's difficult to tell from WKX's voice whether he's pleased or not. Changing Ghost and the other Ghosts ask WKX to forgive them for their sins. Only LFM remains silent. Amused by the Ghosts' behavior, WKX repeats the word "guilt" as a question and laughs, then asks them if they think it's sarcasm. Happy Ghost struggles to contain his laughter, holding his hands to his mouth and glancing at the leader out of the corner of his eye. WKX explains that he's praising them because, even though they haven't accomplished anything concrete in these three months, they're all evil ghosts. These words surprise the men, and Changing Ghost tries to analyze them, wondering what knowledge WKX has of their plans. WKX, on the other hand, continues that it's the duty of evil ghosts to sow chaos in the world. So WKX asks where their guilt lies and states that the ghosts did a great job. WKX smiles broadly and looks pleased with what Ghost has done and says he wants to reward them.

WOH, episode 10, part 14. At this point, GXL enters the main hall carrying a box of food. The girl is sad because she still doesn't understand why ZCL treated her this way and doesn't know what to say. After a moment, she breaks down, feigns happiness, and approaches the table, greeting both older men. She places the box of food in front of her father. She then says that she sees how busy they've been lately, so she's made them some lotus seed soup. SS, seeing the girl's behavior, decides that GXL is a good child and that it's good to have a daughter. Gao Chong, who is more concerned about the sect's problems, declares that they won't eat and that he should take it to ZCL. The girl doesn't know how to explain the situation with ZCL and, with sadness in her voice, tells her father that she doesn't want to do it anymore. Gao Chong asks what she doesn't want to do, and GXL, a little terrified by what she's about to say, asks her father why he engaged her to ZCL without even asking. The girl is upset, adding that ZCL is still a child. Gao Chong can't understand how his daughter is causing him problems at such a difficult time, explaining that the children are growing up and her marriage was arranged earlier. He adds that they can get married in a few years. He thinks this explanation should be enough, but GXL is unhappy and states that ZCL doesn't like her. Gao Chong, his patience wearing thin, firmly states that parents decide their children's marriages. He then accuses her of asking her father about something like that. Finally, he adds in a raised voice that his daughter is impertinent. GXL, distraught that her words don't convince her father, kneels before him, hoping to influence his decision. Surprised by what he sees, SS calls Gao Chong his older brother and asks him to calm down and listen to his daughter's thoughts on marriage. GXL, on the verge of despair, barely holding back her tears, remains on her knees and tells her father that she, too, has her pride and has always obeyed her father's orders and treated ZCL well. But he constantly rejected her advances. She adds that she knows she never offended him in any way. Gao Chong listens quietly to her daughter's words, but his irritation with her behavior only grows. Ignoring her father's expression, she tells him that she doesn't know why he's doing this to her, nor does she know why ZCL treats her this way. SS looks at the girl and remains silent, but I feel a little sorry for her because he sees that she's deeply affected by what happened and that her father has chosen a new husband for her. GXL must also be confused because not long ago she was caring for the unconscious DK, who was supposed to be her husband, and now her father has changed his mind. Gao Chong, controlling his turbulent emotions, tells her to stop and orders her not to bring food to ZCL, as he will order someone else to bring it to him. Then the father tells his daughter to leave. GXL wants to say something, but Gao Chong insists she leave. The girl, sobbing without a word, leaves the room, but first makes a ceremonial bow to her father and SS, who briefly watches the girl leave. Meanwhile, in the restaurant, GX, sitting at the table with CWN, looks around carefully. He notices that she's in a great mood today and decides she can listen to a song. CWN, happy that GX is cheerful, replies that she can do whatever she wants because he's just footing the bill. Two women with instruments come down the stairs from the first floor. GX, waving his hand at them, beckons them to the table and tells the younger one to come over and sing. Both women bow, while GX wonders which song to choose. After a moment, he asks which music school the women are from. The older woman replies that they're from Qing Yu Tower.
something I will never tire off is a gruff parental figure (who may or may not be traumatised) awkwardly trying to comfort the soft-hearted child that has for some reason attached themself to them. Yes, they have cut a path through hundreds of elite warriors without breaking a sweat. yes, a crying child can and will inspire terror in them. an enemy they cannot defeat without serious self reflection and the realisation that they are the only thing that stands between this child and generational trauma
