So, you’ve got a bunch of tasks and need to check them off your mind? Let’s find out how we can get things done.
First, let me just say that I don’t think of myself as a procrastinator; I guess I consider myself more of an ESCAPER. 😅 There are always things that I just hate to do. However, whenever I choose to ignore the existence of such tedious, obnoxious tasks, they seem to grow and infest my…
Ugh, the suuuuuuunnnn—it burnnnnsss—Sasuke blindly groped the nearest blanket and covered himself.
"If you ever had one ounce of concern for me, you would leave me alone instead of spouting third-rate jokes." Sasuke grumbled, attempting to grab the blanket back.
"Oh, you know that I love you more than anything in the world, well, besides ramen of course, but that's why, for your sake, I know that you have to tough it up. Need me to give you some hot water, coffee, chocolate, anything like that?"
"Just some grape juice." Sasuke mumbled, burying his face on the pillow.
Naruto raised an eyebrow. "Grape juice? Wouldn't it be better if you drank some water?"
"Grape juice is the only effective thing for me to recover from hangover. Anything else I would vomit, including water." Sasuke said, rubbing his eyelid.
"Ok…I'm going to buy some for you then. You need any aspirin, or anything like that?" Naruto asked.
Sasuke shook his head, expelling a long sigh.
"Well, I'll be back soon." Naruto lightly ruffled Sasuke's hair, grabbing his keys.
Sasuke suddenly remembered a detail. "Wait. It has to be white grape juice."
Naruto furrowed one eyebrow. "Um…'kays…white grape it is then."
"I'd prefer if you buy the most natural one too. You know, those which has a limited expire date. I dislike any low-quality, full of additives and colorants juice."
"…"
"And don't buy those frozen fruit pulps. I hate swallowing small bits of ice while drinking that juice."
Naruto stared for few seconds, deadpanning. "Do I have to know the name of the brand too?"
When Sasuke appeared to be seriously contemplating this question, the blond figured it'd be better if he went out to shopping now.
…/…
Sasuke acknowledged Naruto with a grunt, playing with his iPad as his lover returned with several bags.
"You took longer than I had expected. You need any help?" The brunet asked, turning off the gadget.
"No, I'm fine. There you go." Naruto poured the juice in a cup and placed on the counter.
Sasuke stood up, unhurriedly walking towards the kitchen. He drank in slow, big gulps and finished with a relieved sigh.
"Feeling better?" Naruto said, putting the food in the refrigerator.
"Hn." Sasuke nodded, picking the juice and pouring more in his cup.
"By the way, can you stay at least for today or something? Since you're already here anyway."
Sasuke considered the question, rechecking his schedule inside his head. "Since today is Saturday but I still need to send the report to my professor, maybe I can talk with him in sending first through e-mail and give the printed version later. There are some meetings here and there but I'll see if I can exchange with older brother then."
"Really? Great. I was thinking cooking spaghetti for lunch. You know, the one you like so much tomato sauce and everything." Naruto grinned.
Sasuke nonchalantly nodded, while mentally drooling from the imagery. Naruto cooked great Italian food (being friends with an Italian restaurant owner), being able to make the freshest tomato sauce he had ever had the pleasure to taste it. His stomach growled, agreeing with the statement.
"Hm, I better start now since it's almost time to lunch…" Naruto mused, beginning to grab all the tools and kitchen knives.
"You need a hand?" Sasuke asked.
"Nah, you still need to recover yourself, I can manage." Naruto shrugged. Then, he quirked an amused grin. "You know, up till now I've always pegged for you to be the grouchy anti-social type of drunken guy."
"I am the anti-social type you moron." Sasuke grunted.
"Really?" Naruto slowly blinked. "The fact that you were trying to eat my face last night while you were dry-humping me might have given me some different ideas."
"Well…that…" Sasuke sighed.
Naruto paused rummaging his kitchen, turned around to face his boyfriend with a raised eyebrow.
Sasuke cleared his throat. "It's complicated."
Naruto rolled his eyes, opening the door of his refrigerator. "Really?"
Sasuke gingerly sipped his juice. "Yes. And…" His muddled mind attempted to grab the most efficient excuse that would make Naruto stop questioning him whilst not offending the blond. "And…personal. So I can't."
Naruto immediately stopped grabbing the sack of tomatoes. "Oh?"
Sasuke stared in increasing apprehension when Naruto closed the door and moved to the nearest telephone. "What are you doing?" He asked, not quite successfully hiding the desperate tone in his voice.
Naruto winsomely smiled. "Well, I suddenly thought that it might not be such a good idea to make spaghetti with tomato sauce and we should order some Chinese takeout for lunch!"
Dammit, being bribed with food. "What are you going to do with all the tomatoes then?" Sasuke growled.
Naruto shrugged nonchalantly. "I could resell it or donate to some homeless people, take your pick."
Sasuke sighed. "It's nothing."
"Well, if it's nothing, I'm pretty sure you'll be able to explain it, right?" Naruto grinned.
