Ra Ra Rasputin by Boney M is a pretty fitting theme for Ardyn and @clairvoyant-shitposter agreed, so I figured I’d make a parody for fun.
She told me to post it, so here it is. Warning for major spoilers.
There lived a certain man in Lucis long ago
He was big and strong, in his eyes a flaming glow
Most people looked at him with terror and with fear
But to Insomnia folks he was such a lovely dear
He could cure the Starscourge like a healer
Full of ecstasy and fire
But he also was the kind of ruler
People would desire
Ih-Ih-zunia
Brother of the Founder King
There was a cat that really was gone
Ih-Ih-zunia
Nifl’s greatest love machine
It was a shame how he carried on
He toured through Niflheim as carefree as could be
But his true ideals, was nothing Eos could see
In all affairs of state he was the man to please
But he was real great when he had a guy to squeeze
For Aldercapt he was no wheeler dealer
Though he'd heard the things he did
He believed he was a trusted chancellor
Who would help them win
Ih-Ih-zunia
Brother of the Founder King
There was a cat that really was gone
Ih-Ih-zunia
Nifl’s greatest love machine
It was a shame how he carried on
But when his drinking and lusting and his hunger
For power became known to more and more people
The demands to do something about this outrageous
Man became louder and louder
This man's just got to go, declared his enemies
But the people begged, don't you try to do it, please
No doubt Izunia had lots of hidden charms
Though he was a brute they just fell into his arms
Then one night some men of higher standing
Set a trap, they're not to blame
Come to visit us they kept demanding
And he really came
Ih-Ih-zunia
Brother of the Founder King
They put some poison into his wine
Ih-Ih-zunia
Nifl's greatest love machine
He drank it all and said, I feel fine
Ih-Ih-zunia
Brother of the Founder King
They didn't quit, they wanted his head
Ih-Ih-zunia
Nifl's greatest love machine
And so they shot him 'til he was dead
This is a little ficlet that I left in my drafts ages back. I don’t have much motivation to go back through it to edit it completely - and probably never will OTL - so I’m just gonna post it now before I forget.

The middle of the Russian winter was brutal, with the cold seeping in despite how much insulation and heating there was. The lack of sunlight during these long dark months didn’t help either.
In preparation for the cold night, Volt had pulled out the sofa bed in front of the fireplace and loaded it up with several blankets and pillows. It was a cozy spot to sleep and he knew the he wasn’t the only one who thought so: Sacha had curled up near the fire at the bottom of the bed as soon as Volt had settled against the back cushions of the sofa. Now all he had to do was wait for the others to join him.
The first one was Alice, as usual. She sat down next to Volt and chatted with him for a little bit before leaning against him to sleep.
It wasn’t long before Lync was wedging a pillow between the two of them to rest his head on. He always tucked himself in there and pulled the heaviest blanket over him for comfort. With the people he trusted most on either side of him, it didn’t take long for him to drift off.
Doctor Michael wandered through and gave Volt a smile before heading to his room. He was too old to sleep in a pile with the rest of them, besides he had a space heater in his room to help him get through the night.
Another half hour passed before Hydron joined everyone on the sofa. He had trouble getting to sleep most nights, so he was usually up much later than Volt. The cold must have made him drowsy tonight.
As Hydron climbed onto the mattress, Volt pulled a pillow and a blanket over for Hydron to adjust as he wanted. Soon enough the kid had snuggled in on his free side to sleep.
They slept like that most winter nights: enjoying the company and body heat of their little found family.
Just going to post this drabble while everyone is asleep.
Thought of it while in the shower and wrote it up in my notebook while half-watching a movie. Patched it up a tiny smidgeo as I typed it.
Warnings: Feelings, One-sided gxrivalshipping, mentions of Spiritshipping.
No shipping tags because I don't want to be torn apart by certain parts of the Yugioh fandom. And I'm not a spiritshipper, but this is sort of my thoughts on the pairing in drabble form.
Somebody That I Used to Know
“Hey Jay, I was thinking about going to the card shop to see what they had, want to join me?” Syrus asked, standing just behind Jaden as he slipped his shoes on.
“Sorry Sy, but I already told Jesse that I’d hang out with him today,” Jaden replied cheerily, but slightly apologetically, as he stood up. “Maybe tomorrow!”
The smile dropped from Syrus’ face as his friend left the dorm, standing there for a few moments and staring at the door melancholically before going over to the desk in the room to work on homework.
Maybe tomorrow… just like always.

“Jaden.”
Said brunette turned around to see Chazz leaning against the wall after he closed his dorm room door. “Oh, hey Chazz! How’s it going?”
“Do you actually care, or is that just your default greeting?” Before the confused Jaden had a chance to respond, Chazz asked another question, “When was the last time you hung out with someone other than Jesse?”
“Well, just… uh—“ Jaden paused and thought for a moment.
“Exactly,” Chazz broke the silence, “You can’t remember because it’s been three weeks since you last bothered and that was with Syrus. It’s been almost four for me. Ever since Jesse got here it’s been ‘Jesse this’ and ‘Jesse that.’ You’ve slowly stopped caring about the rest of us!” As Chazz spoke, he grew more and more enraged.
“That’s not true! I told Syrus I would hang out with him tomorrow!” Jaden yelled back.
“You always say that! Every day you tell him ‘maybe tomorrow’!” Chazz was stood up straight now, fists clenched at his sides, “Jaden, you’re obsessed with Jesse!”
“No one else has said anything before! Why are you saying this now?”
“Because I finally had the guts to tell it to your face!”
There was silence before Jaden turned around and started leaving, “I’m going to see Jesse now… See you later, Chazz…” and with that he ran off.
“Jaden,” Chazz muttered after he had left, banging his fists against the railing of the second floor Slifer dorms, “You used to care about spending time with everyone, and everyone liked you for it, and I… I loved you for it… why did you have to do this to us?”
Now it’s hard to tell who you are.
Now you’re just somebody that we used to know.

Jaden and Jesse may have been perfect for each other, but was it all really for the best?
