“Another granddaughter? That’s the forth in a row!” Tyler chuckled softly as he filled the glass with water, placed it next to his old friend’s bed. Elaine, a former agent from the organisation he destroyed. Someone who was bright enough to realise something wasn’t quite right with the organisation’s direction and found herself a way out. There was a time when Tyler was tasked to hunt her down...That was all in the past.

“I don’t mind. My girls are adorable.” Elaine smiled and gave Tyler a closer look. She held his hand, her grip was no longer as strong as it used to be. But the weight it carried has only gotten heavier as time went by. “Ty, I heard about what happened.” Tyler responded with a light shrug, but Elaine wasn’t going to let him shrug the topic off so easily. “We didn’t have heart breaks when we were young. We were trained to act, to pretend to love. But that wouldn’t make it any easier. But you will move on. I promise you.” Her smile brightened, Tyler knew that smile well, she had something planned. Something mischievous. “As it happens, my doctor is on leave today, and the young man who covers for him is rather charming...”

“I am not eighteen years old desperately for a date-”

“Too late.” She smirked, slowly pulled out a pager from under the blanket. “I just sent him a message.”

“Did you steal that from a doctor?”

“I am old, not innocent.”

Tyler rolled his eyes, he could already hear the door opened behind him. He glanced back, freeze in place as he found himself looking back into the same blue eyes that constantly appeared in his thoughts recently.

“Ah, Doctor Eskelsons. Sorry to have alarmed and bothered you, but another good doctor just came by and helped me resolved my problem.” Elaine smiled at Eero, the pager that was in her hand has already disappeared to nowhere. “Oh, I think my family is here to visit me...Can an old woman troubled you by asking you to show my friend where the cafeteria is, doctor? I think he is desperately in need of a cup of coffee.”

Selhen Lavellan was still getting used to the names thrown his way, from Herald to Inquisitor there was something a little unnerving about having humans proclaim that an Elven Mage was the savior of their people...it was actually a little comical really. But all of this was no laughing matter, the responsibility on his shoulders and just trying to figure it all out. He already had Templars and Mages arguing in Haven as it was and he was sure not all of the Templars were thrilled knowing that a Mage was practically in charge of everything, thanks to Cassandra insisting that was his role. 

But right now he was waiting in the War Room, glancing over the map and shifting his brown eyes to the door as he heard a knock. Right, Cullen had people he wanted him to meet - hopefully this went better than his last little social interaction. Standing up this his full height, the robed elf cleared his throat and attempted to convey the authority he supposedly had.

“Enter.”

His fists are covered in a mixture of his own TAR-LIKE blood as well as the scarlet belonging to the men he’d viciously beaten. At this point he had lost track of whether or not he particularly CARED whether or not they were still moving and with a quiet exhale, he crouches down to check for a pulse, almost immediately as the sound of FOOTSTEPS against the concrete manages to get his attention.

He’s inclined to ‘poof’ away but by the time he’s fixing to do so it’s too little too late and the ‘present’ company comes to a halt across the room from him, Karter’s furrowed brow fixated on the other man as he wears something of a sour expression.

“Men in suits don’t frequent gutter cesspools like this unless they want something.”

He doesn’t really elaborate further on what he means, arms crossing over his chest as he sizes the man up. Perhaps the only LIVING one among a bit of a mess of corpses as he draws in a quiet breath.

Darren seemed to always to get called away on the strangest missions. As the canopy of the cockpit opened, and Darren saw snow, he cursed under his breath. The cold and his vocal cords didn’t exactly mix. His boots crunched as he jumped from the plane, landing on the hard snow. “Who did I kill in a past life to deserve this?” Darren asked as a shiver ran through him. The League’s artic gear may keep some members warm, but Darren’s didn’t do much since it was tighter for more movement. 

“Let’s hurry up and find this H.I.V.E base. I wanna get back to Star City and my fireplace.” Darren said, clicking the device his ear, activating the nanobot mask that protected his mouth.

He’d be absent-mindedly working through a bottle of vodka–––it wasn’t uncommon for Soren to ‘request’ that he hang around the man’s abode every now and then being that often times he’d need briefings about who his next target would be, plus there was the OTHER carnal activities that they engaged in that ultimately made Karter hanging around a lot easier in the long run. 

He perks up a little hearing Soren speak those two words from across the room, HALF INTRIGUED, HALF AMUSED. Soren was a strange man, with strange tendencies. He didn’t cuddle. He wasn’t loving ( not that Karter expected EITHER ), but somehow maintained this strange possessiveness that was normally ( at least in his experience ), indicative of lovers entangled in each other beyond a physical sense.

“Am I now?”

He glances at him, a sly grin on his face for a second as if he’s trying to pick a game to play before settling on a content little chuckle like it’s teasing to even hear such a sentiment.

“I didn’t peg you for the type to POSSESS what you don’t want long term.”

Though it could just be a heat of the moment statement that Soren did because ANY MAN could get his blood pumping if they got far enough in the mood. Pleasure, especially with sex, did that to people.

“...this mean you’re gonna start MARKING me now too? I dunno how well that’s gonna go over with other people...if you catch my drift.”

"Mate, I just want to say that I really appreciate it. For letting me stay for a few nights before I get my things sorted. That's very generous." Talos smiled as he walked into the apartment with a large backpack on his back. His Scottish accent was obvious, but wasn't thick enough to make his words difficult to understand. "I honestly was a little clueless when the Professor decided to transfer to here. The relocation was certainly sudden."

Talos Nedval. A young, bright archaeologist who studied under the infamous Professor Solovine. But even he couldn't figure out why the Professor has made this decision in such a rush. He was only informed by his mentor merely a week ago. Luckily, his previous project has led him into knowing Hannes Eskelsons. He was technically a friend of a friend, but he was undoubtedly relieved when Hannes agreed to let him stay in his place before he could find a new apartment to rent.

"Look, why don't ye let me pay for pizzas later?" Talos grinned brightly, looked around curiously but stayed by the entrance. He didn't want to come off as impolite in any way. "That's the least I can do, yeah?"

"What's wrong Templar, hm? Feeling a little jealous perhaps?" He asked, coy smirk on his lips as he felt himself being pressed up against the wall of Skyhold. The heat between them all but impossible to ignore, brown eyes gazing up at the tall human as he tilted his jaw slightly. "What bothers you more I wonder, that a mage would flirt with me or that I would flirt back?" He hummed, heart fluttering a little against his chest at their closeness in this moment. While they were hidden for the most part it would only take someone paying closer attention and turning the corner to see them like this. “Not very professional of you to lose your cool like this, hm?” He added with that same knowing smirk of his.
