esme stretched with her legs fully on the seat of the bus, ensuring no one would even think of sitting next to her on the long bus ride to wherever the fuck they were going. in all honesty she didn’t really care, only signing up because one of her professors said it would count as extra credit if anyone went and she needed some new scenery and people than she was used to on the campus. she was someone who couldn’t stay in one place for too long, making the whole four years one college thing make her skin itch as she felt desperate to get out. she wanted so badly to just disappear some days and come back a week later, and if she didn’t have responsibilities she would have. not that she usually cared, but she also didn’t want to waste all the money going into this shit.
she woke up startled with her head banging against the hard wall of the bus as they made an abrupt stop, cradling her head and letting out a loud hiss at the pain. that was just the thing to wake her up on the wrong side of the bed, except she didn’t even get the pleasure to sleep in a bed, and now she was more annoyed then she would’ve been otherwise. she got up with a huff, quickly making a rude comment to the driver as she got off for his shitty driving and the possible concussion he inflicted on her.
she stood out in the open campus, dead in the night, with her arms crossed as she looked around the tiny group of students that seemed like zombies with how tired they were. she didn’t care about the field trip being cancelled, if anything she cared more about if she would still get her damn extra credit for even making it on the trip.
“so, does anyone know what the fuck is going on or...?” she questioned, wanting at least an answer before she resigned herself back to her dorm and forced a fake nice email to her professor regarding the whole situation.
