The more I think about it the more I realise how fucking justified the hatred towards Western leftists in many countries is.
#I would consider myself a leftist I suppose#but so much of the rhetoric (ahem tankies) is so condescending towards people from these countries and it's so shameful honestly#i'm not from a western country#but I do live in a more privileged country in a very international community surrounded by europeans and americans so my opinions have been#shaped by that. quite a bit#how do we know better than people in#iran#lebanon#palestine#syria#yemen#sudan#any of these places#especially iran#honestly#and the middle east in general#us and israeli imperialism sucks but we don't know better than them#we don't live their reality#some nuance please#i don't support the us or israel or the iranian monarchy#but i also don't support their so called 'resistance'
