as many people think that John Deacon could possibly be autistic… could be a controversial take but i think Brian May could be autistic too.

I’ve thought this for a while now actually. I’ve hesitated to float the idea online since even though I know quite a bit about autism, I am not a medical professional and these are real, complex people but since you bring it up…

It’s funny because autism is genetic and I know John’s youngest is autistic but I didn’t make the connection until fairly recently. But when I did I was like “ohhhh a lot of things just made sense” lol

But yeah I do think it’s pretty likely they are, though we’ll probably never know for sure. I’ve seen other people mention it as well so I don’t think it’s that controversial of a take. Brian himself has talked about being obsessive with his interests, feeling socially awkward at times and not sure how to begin conversations. He also doesn’t really make eye contact in interviews, a lot of the time he’s looking anywhere else.

Obviously none of these things are the be all and end all of autism and we can’t claim anything for sure but yeah I’m with you anon
