reading other people opinions on archives and zhan zhao adventures, i kinda came to the conclusion that you have to buy into those relationship characters have to enjoy it. because if you don't the plots are not gonna keep you in. zza moves like a video game, where you go through villain to villain until you get to defeat final boss in the arena. archives are series of unfortunate events, more than anything else. like there are shows/dramas that where you can give zero fcks about how the characters feel and there are shows that are pretty enough that you can just enjoy the cinematography and that's about it but with archives and zza you gotta buy that these characters love each other to the moon and back. you need to have the emotional impact otherwise it will fall apart.
