you were just casually laying with your head on alexia’s lap while she ran her fingers through your hair. it was your favorite thing to do when you had time. laying with your girlfriend and her running her fingers through your hair.
just when you had fallen asleep, alexia decided to wake you up by caressing your cheek. “mi amor” she whispered, but enough for you to hear. you hummed a ‘yes’ into her stomach, wanting her to continue running her fingers through your hair.
“should we go live on my instagram?” alexia asked you, making you rub your eyes and sit up on the couch beside alexia with your head still on her shoulder. “do you even know what you’re talking about la reina?” you teased her which earned you a light flick by her finger on your forehead.
you fake gasped, but the gasp was quickly wiped away when alexia kissed your forehead, then your nose and lastly, a passionate kiss on your lips. “you’re forgiven” you said with a smile.
“yeah, i know” alexia responded with a cheeky smile, making you roll your eyes at her.
“anyway, should we go live on instagram?” alexia asked, repeating her question. “si. it would be fun, but i won’t help you with anything. you have to figure it out yourself” you answered, trying not to laugh as you knew alexia wasn’t the best at instagram yet even if she tried a lot, especially after getting so many followers.
“mi amor-” alexia started complaining, but you responded with a simple ‘no’. after more complaints from your girlfriend, you two agreed that if she made everything a very big disaster, you would eventually help her.
alexia also decided that she should do a quick story before going live, so her fans would be ready to watch the two of you and send questions. “i want you to be in it too” alexia said and literally took her arm around your waist, dragging you into her without any warning, but you couldn’t complain as she started the video.
“hola everyone. y/n and i are going live here on instagram in a few minutes, so we hope y’all will come and ask us questions and hang out. adios, see you soon!” alexia announced while you just stared at her with a big smile. what did you do to deserve her?
“you’re so cute!” you mumbled into her shoulder, still with a big smile on your face. “qué? why?” alexia asked, worried that she said something wrong as english isn’t her first language.
“calm down babe. you didn’t say anything wrong. you just sounded so cute while talking english in your hot spanish accent” you answered as you tried to cheer up your worried girlfriend. she always get so worried about saying something wrong in english.
“my hot spanish accent?” alexia mumbled confused at you. you just gave her your usually cute little smile with a simple nod. “you really think my accent is hot?” alexia asked as if she was surprised.
“ale, everything about you is hot” you answered in a low voice, failing to keep a shy smile off your face. alexia’s confused look was now replaced with a smirk, looking you right in the eyes, almost making you weak.
“is that so?” alexia asked while you just nodded as you looked down at your feet, feeling alexia’s eyes burn through you. alexia then took her finger under your chin, making you look back up at her.
she then smashed her lips into your in a slow and passionate kiss. just as you had started kissing her back, she stopped kissing you and walked away. “what the- ale, where are you going?” you yelled at her.
“i’m just going to make us some iced coffees before we go live. that is okay right miss y/l?” alexia asked in a teasing tone while you just huffed at her with an annoyed face, sitting down on the couch with your phone, posting alexia’s story on your profile.
after eight minutes, alexia was back with two iced coffees and ready to go live. she opened her phone and started the live with 35,000 people already watching. alexia just somehow didn’t know that.
“do i have something in my teeth?” alexia asked, putting her face close to the camera, finally making you crack a big laugh. “why’re you laughing?” she asked and after wiping your tears from your laughs, you answered her. “do you know that 35.000 people just heard and saw that?”
“huh? are we already live?” alexia asked. you just slightly nodded, before going into another laughing attack full of tears. “why didn’t you tell me, idiota?” she mumbled with a frown.
“i told you that you had to figure all of this out yourself” you said with a big smile. “you’re annoying” she said. “but you love me” you responded with an even bigger smile that even alexia couldn’t resist as she started to smile herself a bit.
“i really don’t know anymore to be honest” alexia mumbled, but you could still hear it, making you hit her shoulder. “woahhh. that hurt so much” alexia said in sarcasm while you just rolled your eyes at her.
“save that for later mi amor” alexia whispered into your ear, making you blush a bit, but enough for the fans to see it.
@ alexia4ever - what did alexia just say to make y/n blush like that?
@ putellasluv11 - you guys are really making me feel so single
@ aleandynschild - cutest couple ever! literally my parents!
“alright, we thought we could answer some questions, so ask a few things and we’ll try to answer as best as we can” alexia explained with a tomato colored head beside her. then questions started flowing in.
“what’s the best thing about living and playing in barca?” alexia readed out loud. “you should answer that, amor” alexia said, putting her arm around your shoulder, pulling you even closer.
“well, there’s quite a few things, but first of all, the sunny weather is amazing, especially when you come from Sweden or the nordic countries in general” you started while alexia chuckled a bit at you and looked at you with what the fans called ‘heart eyes’.
“of course there’s more than amazing weather! barcelona has always been my dream club to play for as my parents always cheered for them, making me a fan automatically. so when i got the offer to play for barca, i was so excited and of course couldn’t say no to such a big offer. the club just means so much to me and i’m so grateful for all of my teammates that i get to call my friends. and of course, there’s la reina de barca, alexia putellas. my best friend and other half” you rambled, leaning into alexia during the last sentence.
“so yeah, basically everything about living and playing in barca is the best thing” you added, looking up at your girlfriend as she always looked down at you with a big smile. “am i talking too much?” you asked her.
“no. tu respuesta fue perfecta, mi amor” alexia answered, taking some of your hair behind your hair, giving your head a kiss, making fans feel very single again. after that little sweet moment, the two of you went back to answering questions for about an hour and a half while making fans awe over your relationship.
@ ynputellas0 - the way y/n was talking about barca and alexia was so cute, i can’t
@ alexiabiggestfan - alexia is being a romantic girlfriend ulalalala
@ lareinaaayn - i’m literally so in love with both of them
@ alelovesyn - alexia’s heart eyes for y/n are just so cute. i want what they have!
It Was Only a Matter of Time (Alexia Putellas x Reader)
Summary: Reader and Alexia meet as children at summer youth training. They’re instant best friends. As they grow up together and take on professional football, Reader’s unreciprocated feelings for Alexia push them apart.
Trigger warnings: fear of coming out, mentions of family who have passed away

Age 9
You looked across the field at your mom, extremely happy to see that she had kept her promise to stay and watch your first practice. You were nervous for today. Three weeks ago, you'd jumped up and down when your parents had told you would be able to go to FC Barcelona's summer youth training camp. But now that you were actually standing on the field, looking at all the kids and players around you, you weren't sure what to do.
You played with the string on your soccer shorts, looking down at the grass. The coach had instructed everyone to partner up and start passing drills. But you couldn't find anyone who didn't already have a partner. It seemed like everyone already knew each other here. Everyone around you was talking loudly, laughing, and passing balls.
A ball landed at your foot and you kicked it back in the direction it came from without thinking. A second later, it came back to you. Looking up, you saw a girl smiling at you, waiting for you to send the ball back towards her. Glancing around, you didn't see a partner for her. You smiled, and you kicked the ball back to her. You passed back and forth until the whistle blew.
The girl picked up the ball and walked to you. "I'm Alexia."
"Y/N."
"I haven't seen you here before."
"It's my first day."
"Oh really?" she asked, excitedly. "I've been coming for a few summers. But up until this year, they had me playing with the older girls."
"You must be really good then," you said, in awe of this girl.
"I just really like football," she said, shrugging. "They said I was ‘too passionate’ to play with the younger girls," she said using her fingers to make air quotes.
You laughed. Your mom often said you were too passionate about football, too.
"Do you want to be in my group for shooting drills?" she asked. You nodded.
You and Alexia spent the rest of the summer together. When the summer ended and you returned to school, you begged your parents to let you see each other on the weekends and to talk on the phone.
Age 17
You were laying on your bed, finishing your homework, when Alexia walked into your room. She dumped her backpack next to your bed and laid down next to you.
"Hi, Ale," you said sweetly. In the last couple years, both your parents had started letting you ride the bus to each other's homes. Alexia often showed up at your house after school to do homework. But today, you knew that she had an evening practice. She didn't usually come over when she had evening practices. "How was your day?"
She took the pencil from your hand, twirling it a few times. She tossed it back down on your notebook and then flopped over on her back, folding her hands over her stomach.
"That bad?"
"No, just.” She sighed. “Sergio asked me out."
You tried to hide your disappointment. Alexia and Sergio had been spending a lot of time together recently because they were working on a project for science class. Alexia had mentioned that he was kind of cute.
Around the same time you'd been allowed to start riding the bus alone, you'd realized that you were gay and that you really liked Alexia. But Alexia was always talking about the cute boys at her school. You still hoped that maybe Alexia liked you back too, though.
“Oh yeah? When are you two going out?” you asked, trying to keep your voice neutral.
“We’re not.” She looked over at you. “I told him I needed to focus on football only. I don't have time for dating.”
"You can always make time for dating, you know."
"Not right now. We have to focus. Barcelona's an intense club. I start full-time training with them when we graduate in a couple months. I have to focus," she repeated. "You should, too. Espanyol is equally as intense."
Age 19
You looked around at the huge stadium, at the seats that were filled, at the fans that were screaming for Spain. That morning you'd woken up with the biggest smile and it hadn't left your face yet.
"Replacing #10 and making her international debut for the Spanish national team, #11 Alexia Putellas." You screamed as soon as you heard her name. You screamed so loudly you wouldn't have been surprised if she told you later that she could hear you on the field. But you didn't care. Today, your best friend was playing for Spain. You hugged Alexia's younger sister, Alba, when Alexia ran out onto the field.
This might have been Alexia's big moment but as two of the closest people to her, you and Alba felt like this was a huge moment for you both as well.
When the game ended, Alexia ran over to you in the stands. She hugged her mom tightly. You could see her mom whispering to her and imagined that she was telling her how proud of her she was. Then she hugged Alba, earning a huge kiss on the cheek from her. And finally it was your turn. Alexia hugged you so hard that you thought you might fall over the railing.
Leaning back, you looked down at her in her Spain jersey, now completely drenched in sweat. "You played an amazing game. I’m so so proud of you."
"Thank you for coming. I really appreciate it."
“I would never miss this.” She hugged you again, pressing a kiss to your cheek.
As she walked back down the stairs to head to the locker room, you heard a young boy yell out, “Alexia, will you marry me?”
Your small laugh died when you heard Alexia’s answer, “Sorry. I’m already married to football.” You’d heard Alexia say that, or a variation of it, a few times since she’d turned Sergio down. And every time, your heart dropped. You were still so in love with the woman who would never be yours.
Age 22
“Y/N!” Alexia ran across the hotel lobby, throwing herself into your arms before you could even shake hands with the coach who was waiting for you.
“Hi, Ale,” you said, squeezing her back, a huge grin splitting your face. “You know we just saw each other last night, right?” you asked, giggling. She leaned back but you kept an arm around her waist.
“Yes, but this is your first national team camp! This is a big day for you, mi amor. I wanted to greet you properly.” And from that moment, Alexia never left your side. She introduced you to all the girls, she showed you the training facilities, she partnered with you for drills, she sat with you at meals. You were eternally grateful for her to be there with you. It wasn’t that you were shy but sometimes you underestimated your abilities and you felt slightly intimidated by the other players around you. They were Spain’s best, after all. It didn't matter that Alexia had repeatedly told you that you were an amazing player who deserved to be there.
It was the last night of camp when Leila Ouahabi asked, “So how long have you two been dating?”
“We are not dating,” Alexia immediately responded. “We’ve never dated. Y/N is my best friend. We met when we were kids. But no, never dated.”
“Oh sorry. I just assumed since you’re so close.”
“We are close. But not like that. It’d be like dating my sister.”
Again, your heart dropped into your stomach. You played with your food through the rest of dinner. You weren’t even sure you tasted anything after that. As the both of you had gotten older, you’d felt closer to Alexia, if that was even possible. You played for different club teams, and until now, Alexia had been going to national team camps alone but you spent all your spare time together. And because you were separated so much, that time together had become really special.
You had begun to feel like maybe Alexia was finally developing feelings for you, too.
But that was very clearly not the case. Not when she had shut down that line of questioning so quickly. Not when she compared you to Alba.
Age 24
When Arsenal called, you gladly accepted. You were ready to experience an international league. You were also ready to give your heart some time to finally move on from Alexia. Something you knew you couldn’t do when you both lived in the same country. Although it had been years of you knowing Alexia would never love you back, you had held on to ‘one day’ as a possibility. You’d only ended up disappointed, hurt, and alone. It was time to finally move on.
Alexia drove you to the airport. She cried when she dropped you off. You hugged her tight, reminding her that Arsenal was a fantastic team, and this was a huge opportunity for you. She couldn’t argue with that. She sniffled, saying that at least she would still get to see you at camp. You kissed the side of her head and pushed her towards the exit.
You were pretty sure you wouldn't be able to get on your plane if she continued to stand there crying.
During your first training session with Arsenal, you made fast friends with the captain, Leah Williamson. She bled red and white. A London native, she’d grown up supporting Arsenal and now she took real pride in captaining the women’s side.
It was only two weeks later when she asked you out on a date. She took you to a small restaurant where you both had hoped to get some privacy. Unfortunately, a photo had leaked of you holding hands and the internet had lost its mind.
You and Leah only went on a few more dates before you decided you were better off as friends. But the internet continued to watch all your interactions and micro analyze your friendship, looking for any hints of something deeper. Neither of you minded.
You’d told Leah about Alexia and why you’d been so eager to leave Spain. She’d comforted you, telling you she understood. She’d spent much of her early football years in love with her best friend, Jordan, as well. The only difference was Jordan was actually gay and didn’t love her back. Alexia had never shown any interest in women and so at least you could take some comfort in her being straight. Even though it was still very little comfort.
Since you’d gotten to London, you’d been training hard and filling your time with dates and team bonding. Anything really to stop thinking about how much you missed Alexia. She’d been calling but you’d been ignoring the calls, instead frequently texting her that you were out or with other people and couldn’t talk.
You felt bad, especially when she texted you how much she missed you, but you needed to be selfish right now. You needed to give yourself this time to get over her before your love for her completely destroyed your life.
Age 24
Your stomach was in knots the first time Barcelona traveled to London to play Arsenal. This was the first time you were seeing Alexia since leaving Barcelona. In the tunnel before the game, you kept your eyes forward, trying to focus. Leah came up, wrapping an arm around your shoulder. She leaned in, whispering in your ear, “You’re going to kill this. Just put her out of your mind and pretend she’s not here on the other side.” You nodded. That had been your plan anyways.
You just hoped you could actually stick to it.
Barcelona came out strong and aggressive. You had taken some hard fouls before the half. But Arsenal had ended the half up one goal.
In the 73rd minute, Mapi tackled you just outside the box. You cried out as you went down, grabbing your shin. As usual, your shin guard hadn't been in place and the spikes on her boot had gone straight into your leg. Alexia and Leah were both next to you within a few seconds. Leah pushed Mapi backwards, yelling at her about the foul while Alexia kneeled next to you.
She brushed your hair back, cupping your cheek. "Y/N, breathe for me. You'll be okay in a minute."
"Leah!" you called out as she pushed Mapi again. Your team could not afford her getting carded right now. Leah pushed Alexia out of the way, kneeling in her spot. You could feel the disappointment from Alexia at being shoved out of the way and tried to ignore her. She stood a couple feet away, waiting for you to get back to your feet.
"Oh, love, are you okay?" Leah helped you pull your sock down a bit. Your leg had four bloody spike-shaped indentations. "Shit. Let me get the medic out here."
"No." You grabbed her hand to stop her from signaling the medic. There was no way you were leaving this game. Dropping her hand, you ripped some grass out and rubbed the blood away. "It's fine. Help me up." You pulled your shin guard back into place and yanked your sock up. She took both of your hands and hauled you up.
"You good?"
"Good." You patted her butt as you ran back into position. You ignored Alexia telling Mapi off before she got back into position.
After the game ended, you shook hands with all the players. You weren't sure how to act around Alexia and tried to avoid her. But she eventually found you and extended a hand. You gave her a handshake. When she pulled you into a hug, you kept your arms loose around her. It was so unlike the last hug you two had shared at Barcelona airport. You had never felt this detached from her before.
It was a good thing, you tried to remind yourself. This is what you had wanted all along, to get some distance between you. You just hadn't realized it would feel this bad. You walked away from her, not sure what else to do. That night, you turned your phone off and hid in your apartment, unsure how to handle the emotions that were overwhelming you.
Age 24
After returning to Barcelona, Alexia hid in her apartment, much like Y/N had. It wasn't until she called out of training pretending to be sick that Leila really began to worry and called Alba. Alba tried knocking on Alexia's door but she got no response. Doing what she promised she would never do, she used her emergency key to let herself into the apartment.
And decided this actually was an emergency after seeing the state of the apartment.
Alexia was curled on the sofa, under a pile of blankets. A movie played on the tv but Alexia was staring blankly at the wall. The coffee table was covered with takeout containers. Nala immediately ran to Alba. She grabbed her leash and took her out, unsure when her sister may have last walked her.
When she came back, she let Nala run into the apartment and decided she'd have to be firm with Alexia. She walked to the sofa and pulled the blankets off her. Alexia groaned and turned away, burying her face against the cushions.
"Please leave me alone, Alba. I don't feel good."
"You skipped training."
"I don't feel good."
Alba touched Alexia's forehead, checking for a fever. "Okay tell me what's wrong. I can make you some tea or something. Did you catch a cold from Y/N or something?"
At the sound of your name, Alexia groaned.
"Did you two get into a fight?" Alba sat on the edge of the sofa, next to Alexia's feet. She had seen her big sister mope in the past when she fought with Y/N.
Alexia groaned again. Alba wasn't going to go away. She flopped over on her back, pushing her hair out of her face. "No. That would require us to actually talk to each other. She barely even acknowledged that I was there. She was too busy with her teammates to even give me a minute."
"Well that doesn't sound like Y/N. You two talk every day."
Alexia dragged herself up, hugging her knees to her chest. "Not anymore," she admitted.
"What do you mean?"
"After she moved to London, she stopped answering my calls and texts. I thought maybe I could figure out what was wrong when we saw each other again but it was clear she didn't want to talk to me. She even had Leah push me out of the way when I was checking on her after she got injured. Not to mention Leah called her 'love,' like I used to. And they were all over each other! Before and even during the game. And after the game, she barely hugged me back before she disappeared."
"Is Leah her girlfriend?"
"How would I know?" Alexia asked, anger clear in her voice.
"Would it bother you if she was her girlfriend?"
"No, why would that bother me?" Alexia rushed out.
Alba touched Alexia's knee. "It's me," she said gently. "Does it bother you that Y/N might be dating Leah?"
"Of course, it bothers me."
"Why? I thought you were married to football." Alba had seen Y/N's eyes dim every time Alexia had said those words. It was so obvious to her that Y/N loved her sister. She just never knew why Alexia never let herself love Y/N back.
"What if I'm in love with Y/N?" Alexia asked, resting her forehead against her knees. Alba moved closer, stroking her sister's hair.
"Would that be so bad?"
"I've never dated a woman before."
"To be fair, you've never dated anyone before."
"But what do you think mom would say?"
"About you dating a woman?” Alba stopped playing with her sister’s hair and wrapped her arm around Alexia’s shoulder. “Oh, sweetie, she won't care. Mom loves you and she wants you to be happy. Plus, if you end up with Y/N, she'd be over the moon. I think she secretly prefers Y/N to us." Alexia let out a small watery laugh. "Have you been worrying about this?"
"Some," Alexia admitted.
"Don't. She caught me with a girl a few months ago. She didn't care."
"Alba!"
"What? I'm 21. I'm allowed to hook up with people. But that's not what we're focused on right now." She pulled her phone out of her pocket, looking something up. "There's a flight to London in four hours. I'm booking you on it."
"No. What? Why?"
"Go get your girl. You've both waited long enough."
Alexia nervously fidgeted the entire flight. Alba had gotten her into the shower, packed a small bag for her, and driven her to the airport. But now that she was alone, her anxiety was setting in. Alba had reassured her that you felt the same way but then why hadn't you ever said anything? Is that why you'd really left and why you had been ignoring Alexia? These questions just played on loop. When the plane finally touched down, Alexia let out her first full breath.
On the way to the airport, Alexia realized that she didn't even have your London address. But Alba had stepped in again. Their mom had been sending you packages, and Alba had your address stored on her phone.
Gripping her bag tightly, Alexia stepped off the tube and walked the three blocks to your apartment. She stood on the sidewalk, looking up at the building. Only one apartment had the lights on, and she really hoped it was yours. As she began to cross the street towards the building, a movement at the window caught her eye.
It was Leah. Alexia watched you approach her, two glasses of wine in your hand. You gave her one and leaned closer to kiss her cheek, your hand on her hip. She watched you both grin at each other before turning away and running back towards the tube station. She didn't stay long enough to see the short redhead come out of the kitchen and kiss Leah before wrapping an arm around her waist.
Alexia pulled her phone out, dialing her sister. She covered her mouth, trying to hold back the tears.
"How'd it go?" Alba asked excitedly when she answered.
"I'm too late." Hearing it out loud, Alexia lost the ability to control her tears. Alba could hear her choked sob loud and clear.
"Alright, hon, I'm getting you on the next flight. Come home. It'll be okay." Alba's heart ached for her sister. She hadn't heard her sob like that since their father's death.
Age 24
It had only been four weeks since Alexia had done the six hour turnaround trip to London that had left her confused and heartbroken. She definitely wasn't ready to face you at national team camp. But there was no avoiding it. You both had become an integral part of the team and neither of you could miss this camp. Especially with the World Cup next year.
She thanked her lucky stars when you ended up in a room on the other end of the hotel from her. She thanked her lucky stars again when you got separated into a different training group. She ate her meals quietly at the corner table before retreating to her room every day. She kept to herself in the locker room before the game, telling questioning teammates that she needed to focus.
When she got fouled in the box, she threw the ball towards you, not wanting to risk accidently touching you by handing you the ball. She watched you say something to Ireland's goalkeeper and smirk, that stupid sexy smirk that had always secretly made her stomach drop. Alexia shook her head, forcing herself to concentrate on the movement of the ball. When the goalkeeper guessed the wrong direction and the ball hit the back of the net, she stood rooted in her spot, unable to go congratulate you with the goal celebration you both had agreed to back when you came to national camp the first time. Instead, she smiled in congratulations before running back to her position.
She managed to avoid you until the last day, when she was leaving. You were in the lobby when she came down with her suitcase. Her breath hitched looking at you. You were sitting there, on your phone, one leg crossed over the other, one finger absentmindedly twirling some hair. She's not entirely sure what compelled her, but she found herself crossing the lobby, and stopping in front of you.
"Hi," she said softly.
You looked up, not expecting her to talk to you. She'd done a good job of ignoring you the entire week. Not that you could blame her after the way your last meeting in London had gone. "Hi, Alexia."
"It was nice to play with you again. England seems to have really improved your game."
You weren't sure how to take that. You never competed with Alexia but you'd never felt up to her level, either. Was she making fun of you? You hated this. You'd never questioned her motives before. You'd never wondered if she was making fun of you. Because Alexia would never make fun of you. She had always been your biggest supporter.
"Thank you." You weren't really sure what else to say. You'd never felt so uncomfortable with her before.
"Um," she tucked her hands in her pockets, "I was wondering if you were thinking about coming back to Spain next season."
"I re-signed with Arsenal. I want to end my career at home but right now, I'm not ready to leave Arsenal or my team yet." The truth was, London had given you the space from Alexia that you had desperately needed. It had helped you learn more about yourself. England had improved your game but only because it had improved your mind. You'd been able to pull yourself up and get your head on straight. You missed Alexia desperately but you also had a lot of work still to do.
Alexia let the now-familiar pain roll through her, forcing a smile. Of course you wouldn't want to leave London or your girlfriend. She felt stupid and slightly embarrassed for even asking. With a muttered, "See you at next camp," she turned away, needing to put some distance between you.
If Alexia had known you were going to injure yourself the following week and not return to camp for a while, she might have tried to make herself stay and talk to you longer.
Age 25
Alexia looked down at her phone as it rang, hoping it would be a call she could silence. She didn't want to talk to anyone today. Training had been tough. It was eight days until the Champions League final and more teammates had been injured. There were barely enough healthy players to make a full squad. Alexia hated going into any game in this position, let alone a Champions League final.
But it was Alba. She couldn't silence Alba.
"Ale, check twitter," Alba said as soon as Alexia answered. "Now." She sounded excited.
"Okay, hold on," Alexia said. She pulled the phone away from her ear and put Alba on speaker. Opening her twitter app, she started scrolling. Her eyes suddenly took in the wedding announcement. "Alba…"
"Isn't this great news?!" she squeaked.
"Uh." Alexia wasn't sure she had any ability to speak at that moment. There was Leah with her arm wrapped around her new wife. "Alba," she said again.
"Okay and now check who posted about the wedding on her insta."
Alexia didn't need to check to know Alba was talking about Y/N. "I can't."
"Why the hell not?" Alba asked.
"I, um, I unfollowed her." You had made your profile private after your first call up to the national team because you didn't like the attention you were getting.
"You what?!" Alba started muttering, cursing her sister's stupidity.
"She was uploading so many pictures with Leah and I couldn't handle it. And I couldn't stop myself from looking at every single one of the pictures."
"God, you're an idiot sometimes. Have you taken too many headers or something? Okay, wait a second." Alexia rolled her eyes at her sister's blunt response.
Alexia's phone dinged with an incoming text a minute later. She opened the photo, seeing you for the first time in months. You were between Leah and her wife, an arm around both of them, all of you grinning like fools. The caption read - "Congrats to these two beautiful friends of mine. You both deserve each other and all the happiness in the world. I hope this first week of marriage has been complete bliss." God, you looked beautiful.
"Alexia, you there?"
"Yeah," she answered quietly.
"Are you okay?" Her voice had lost all the excitement. Now it just held concern.
"I don't know." She scratched her forehead. "Alba," she said quietly.
"I'm coming over."
Alexia looked at the photo again when Alba hung up. Had she just wasted all this time over a misunderstanding? But then why had you pushed her away if not to make room for a new person in your life? Squeezing her eyes tight, she sighed, unsure how to sort out all the thoughts running through her head.
Age 25
Alexia generally put her phone in airplane mode before games. But today, she had wanted to post something right before game time from the locker room. She could feel it. This year Barcelona was going to walk away the winners of the Champions League. She was incredibly proud of how hard the team had worked to reach this game.
She saw Alba's name flash at the top of her screen as she was posting. Opening the text, her breath hitched. It was a picture of her, their mom, and Y/N from the back, all of them sporting Alexia #11 jerseys. They were all looking over their shoulders, smiling, their thumbs pointing down towards the jersey.
She had assumed you would come since the game was in London but she hadn't thought you would come wearing her jersey. Not after the last year. Smiling to herself, she put her phone away in her bag and jumped up.
Now she was really ready to win this thing.
Lyon came out strong in the first half. Alexia had known this was going to be a hard fought battle and she'd prepared for it. But as she went down again and again, tackle after tackle, she was starting to get pissed off. When one of the Lyon players needed medical assistance, she took the opportunity to call her teammates over and order a new strategy. She wasn't going into that locker room at half without at least scoring an equalizer.
Within five minutes, Barcelona had made a successful counterattack. Alexia raised her arms over her head as her teammates surrounded her. When they ran back towards their positions, she pointed towards where she knew you were sitting in the stands. Ever since you were kids, when one of you was injured or watching each other's games in person, your goals had been dedicated to each other. Alexia knew you were here. She knew you were injured. And it was how she could tell you mid-game that she knew you were there, watching.
Alexia was happy going into halftime. The team still had a fighting chance to win, to show the world what Barcelona could accomplish.
Both teams were fighting for that winning goal throughout the second half. In the 86th minute, Asisat made a break for it and scored, only for the offside flag to come up. Alexia groaned.
But within a minute, the ball had made it to Alexia and she had a clear shot to the goal. She took it. The shot on goal caught Endler off guard and she barely grazed it as it crossed the line. Alexia dropped to her knees, fighting back the tears. Not only had she scored in a Champions League final but that had likely been the winning goal. She desperately wished for her dad to be there. After her team celebrated with her, she kissed her hand, raising it to the sky, hoping that he was watching from wherever he was.
And before running back to her position, she pointed towards you again, a huge grin on her face.
The next few minutes flew by. Lyon tried to regain control but they weren't able to equalize the score before the final whistle blew.
Alexia collapsed, letting the tears freely flow now. They had done it. They had won the Champions League. Lieke pulled her up off the ground and into a bone-crushing hug. Alexia wiped her face as they ran towards their other teammates to celebrate.
After the trophy lifting, Alexia ran towards the family section. Ignoring the security guard, she jumped over the railing. She hugged her mom tight, feeling her mom cry. She pulled Alba into the hug, so happy to have them both there for this moment.
When they stepped back from each other, her mom wiped the tears off Alexia's cheeks and pushed her towards you, whispering, "Don't screw this up."
Alexia glanced back at her mom, her eyebrow raised. She nudged Alexia again. Alexia turned back towards you.
"Congrats, Alexia." You hugged her, whispering, "I'm so proud of you." Alexia started crying again, her arms tightening around your shoulders as the weight of the last year finally left her. You rubbed her back until she got her tears under control.
Alexia hadn't realized how much she had needed you to be here, hugging her, sharing this moment until now. She had been upset thinking she wasn't going to be able to celebrate with you. But she hadn't realized that she needed you here to celebrate this win fully.
"I scored both of those goals for you," she whispered before stepping back. She rubbed the back of her hands across her cheeks, drying the last of the tears.
You smiled at her, blushing. You had hoped when you saw Alexia point towards you that she was telling you the goals were for you. But after the last year and your last few interactions, you hadn't been sure. You scratched your jaw.
Alexia, riding the high from the win and your completely adorable blush, decided to throw caution out the window. You were here, standing in front of her. For the first time in a year, it didn't feel forced or awkward. Neither of you was avoiding the other. She'd already lost you months before. There was nothing more to lose. But there was everything to gain.
"I came back to London after we played Arsenal. I came to surprise you but I left when I saw you with Leah."
"Why?"
Alexia was unsure if you were asking why she came or why she left. All she could hope was that her response would answer both questions. "I came to tell you that I was in love with you."
Your eyes widened as you stared at her. "Was?" you finally managed to ask. "Past tense."
Alexia stepped closer. "Am. Present tense. I'm in love with you, Y/N, and I'm really hoping you might feel the same way."
In answer, you wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her flush against you. "I'm in love with you, too," you whispered moments before you captured her lips. "Only took you ten years to catch up, Putellas," you muttered kissing her again. You pulled away when Alba started cheering and buried your red face in Alexia's neck. You had forgotten her family was there. You had forgotten where you were. You'd forgotten everything but the woman in your arms. The woman you had wanted for nearly half your lifetime.
"I'm sorry it took me so long. I've been going crazy for you," she whispered, playing with the baby hairs on the back of your neck.
"Me, too, Ale."
“I’m so happy you came today.”
“I wouldn’t have been able to keep my distance forever. It was only a matter of time.” Needing to satisfy the deep-seated craving for her, you cradled her face in your hands and kissed her again. "Okay, go. Go celebrate with your team; you deserve to celebrate with them tonight."
Alexia pouted, conflicted. She knew you were right. Although she hoped there were a lot more Champions League wins in her future, this night was special and she should celebrate it with her team. But she also didn't want to leave you now that you had finally told each other the truth. Especially when it had come at the end of one of the longest, loneliest years of her life.
There was only one solution she could think of.
She took your hand in hers. "Come with me?" she asked with a hopeful smile.
The answer was simple for you. "Always. Anywhere."

note: there will be a part 2 to this one! enjoy my first fic in a long time <3
you had finally landed in barcelona after a 2 hour long flight from london, so you were a bit tired, but you were also excited, because you got to see alexia. your best friend since childhood.
right now, you were standing in the airport like a lost child, trying to find alexia as it was her house that you were going to stay at. when you finally had found her, you speeded up your walk a bit and almost jumped into your best friend’s arms.
“te extrañé mucho!” (i missed you a lot) alexia said, giving your head a kiss.
“i’ve also missed you, ale! it’s been too long since we last saw each other!” you responded as you let go of each other, still with big smiles on your faces.
“yes! way too long!” alexia mumbled, pulling you in for another hug, which you, of course, returned as always.
after another hugging section, you happily took your arm around hers as you walked towards her car.
as soon as you got inside alexia’s house, you threw yourself on her couch, your back and head hurting from sitting on the plane.
alexia softly smiled at you and also sat down on the couch beside you. she put your head on her lap as she started to run her fingers through your hair. you didn’t complain at all. alexia knew exactly what to do to make you feel better after many years of friendship.
“the flight was long, yeah?” she asked. you hummed into her stomach, loving the head massage you were getting. alexia never failed to make you feel like a princess.
“you can sleep for an hour. i still have a few emails to answer, but after that, i have a surprise for you!” alexia mentioned, making you look up at her. her hand left your hair, but you quickly took a hold of it, putting it back on your head again.
alexia quietly chuckled at you. “what have you planned?” you asked. “i won’t tell you. otherwise it wouldn’t be a surprise, idiota!” alexia answered while shaking her head at you.
“i hate surprises and you know it.” you mumbled, laying your head in her lap again. “you’re going to love it. i promise!” alexia told you as you just hummed as yes. alexia then took her computer and started to answer some emails, not forgetting to massage your head sometimes.
after an hour and 10 minutes, alexia put her computer down on the coffee table, deciding it was time to wake you up. “y/n, wake up!” she said, shaking you a bit.
“no” she heard you mumble, making her throw her head back in a small chuckle. "i'm serious y/n! wake up, we got somewhere to be actually.” alexia explained, but right now, you really didn’t care, so you keep on sleeping.
then alexia did something, you will never forgive her for. she tickled you. you yelled at her to stop and after a whole minute, she finally did. “i’m never forgiving you for that!” you said.
“you will after this surprise, trust me!” she replied with a mysterious smile. you couldn’t help, but hit her arm. “you did the illegal thing. i will never forgive-” you sentence was interrupted, when alexia hit your shoulder, making you gasp.
“you just hit me” you said in a dramatic tone. “you hit me first” alexia responded with a smile. “but you’re a powerhouse with actual muscles, so it actually hurts, putellas! that’s not fair” you rambled, trying to hold your laugh back as you wanted to look serious.
“i’m not a powerhouse, but i do look like one standing next to you!” alexia teased you, her smile growing bigger. “idiota!” you whispered to yourself, but loud enough for alexia to hear it.
“what did you say?” she asked me, sitting a bit more up. “nothing” you quickly answered with a small smile. “i heard you say something. what did you say y/n?” alexia asked once again, but in a whisper in your ear, giving you goosebumps.
“why are you shivering? do i make you nervous y/n?” she asked with a smirk in your ear again, but to avoid the question, you pushed her away and in a hurry, got up from the couch, running away.
the plan didn’t go well though. because alexia was right behind you and had quickly pulled you into her arms, tickling you once again. you began laughing like crazy and begged her to stop.
“then what did you say about me?” she asked for the third time. “i said you were an idiota.” you answered and let out a sigh when she had finally stopped tickling you, still holding you in her arms though.
“see, that wasn’t so hard to admit, wasn’t it?” alexia teased. “yeah yeah, whatever. now let’s go. you have a surprise for me, right?” you said in a childish tone, excited for what she has planned for you.
“just wait here. i’ll come in a minute with something” alexia told you. “alright. be quick, i’m excited!” you responded, getting a shake from your best friend’s head, to which you just laughed at.
after a minute or two, alexia came back into the living room with a blindfold in one of her hands. “do you trust me?” she asked me with a cheeky smile. “with my life” you answered, making alexia chuckle lightly.
then alexia turned you around and put the blindfold in front of your eyes. “why do you even need to blindfold me?” you asked, being even more excited now. “what a great question” was the answer you got. you groaned at the answer you got, if you even could call it that.
“just trust me with your life and everything is going to be just fine, princesa” alexia explained to you as she took your hand and dragged you into what you guessed was a car.
when you had been driving in the car for about 20 minutes, the car stopped and alexia helped you out of the car, making sure you didn’t fall. such a gentlewoman she is.
“are you ready for the surprise?” she asked you, excitement in her voice. “i’ve been ready for 20 minutes, but yeah, woohoo, i’m so ready,” you answered as alexia pushed your shoulder slightly in a friendly way.
alexia then finally took the blindfold of your eyes and you saw the cutest place with delicious food, right in front of a beautiful sea view.
“this is so sweet, ale!” you said, turning around and hugging her tightly as alexia lifted you a bit up from the ground, giving your head a kiss.
“i hope you like it,” alexia mumbled.
“like it? i love it, ale! it really reminds me of our teenage years” you said as the two of you sat down on the little bench in front of the delicious food alexia had prepared.
“that’s why i chose this place” alexia told you, making you look at her. “because it’s ours” alexia added with a shy smile, making you look at her in awe.
“that’s so cute,” you said in a low tone. comfortable silence filled the air with sounds of the sea.
“it’s been too long since i’ve been here. i almost forgot the feeling” you said, breaking the silence. alexia then gave you a confused look. “the feeling? which feeling?” she asked.
“the feeling of so much, you know” you started. alexia letting you speak. “the feeling of comfort. the feeling of freedom. the feeling of the past, and of course the feeling of our childhood together.” you explained.
alexia looked at your face and noticed a tear slipping down your cheek, to which she wiped away, making you look at her again. “i’m sorry. i shouldn't be crying. i just have so much on my mind at the moment.” you mumbled, quickly wiping your eyes as more tears were threatening to fall down your cheeks.
alexia took you into your arms as you tried to calm yourself down. “i’m sorry-” “don’t say that y/n! never be sorry for such a thing. it’s okay to feel down sometimes. i just wished you would have told me that you were feeling this way, amor” she interrupted you.
after you had calmed down, you lifted your head from alexia’s shoulder, taking a deep sigh. alexia looked at you with worry in her eyes. “will you tell me what’s wrong? por favor.” she asked and took your hand in hers, caressing it softly.
“of course. you deserve to know everything!” you answered. “firstly, i’m still a bit sad about the way my relationship with guro ended. we were not right for each other, but still, it’s quite difficult when fans knew we were together and then every question is about our break up and not actual football. i’m so tired of people also asking why, how and other stupid questions, when i just wanna do my job. then some people start making rumors, saying that i cheated on her with you and even some of my teammates start to believe it. and before i know it, probably the whole football world will think i cheated on her and i really did not! we were just not right for each other.” you explained, tears starting to fall down your cheeks again, but you weren’t done rambling.
“i shouldn’t really be telling you this, but i’ve already signed a contract with another club. i can’t stand being looked at with those looks from my teammates.” you told alexia, even if you weren’t allowed to.
alexia immediately took her arms around you in a big hug once again, trying to calm you down. “shh, everything is going to be okay. i won’t let anyone hurt you.” she whispered in your ear. alexia began caressing your back, knowing it always helped you calm down.
“let’s just eat some food and look at the sea, yeah?” alexia said. you hummed a yes and looked at the delicious food, alexia had prepared.
you two ate in a comfortable silence, but after 10 minutes alexia decided to break it. “so, which team have you signed for?” she asked. you gave her a small smile.
“it’s a team that i’ve wanted to play for, for quite some time.” you answered. alexia gave you a little smile. “is it barca?” she asked, her smile growing bigger at the thought of you two playing together everyday. your big smile pretty much gave it away.
“really? you’re going to play for barca?” she asked once again, not believing her ears at the moment. “yes-” before you could finish your sentence, alexia had attacked you with a big bear hug.
“that’s the best news i’ve heard for a long time!” she mumbled into your hair. “i’ve been so excited to tell you!”
“now you should be prepared for head massages every night” alexia said. you wouldn’t ever complain about that. you gave her a soft smile and laid your head on her shoulder, enjoying this moment with her.
“thanks for always being with me, ale! i really appreciate it!” you told her, locking your hand with hers. “of course y/n! the same goes for you. thanks for always being you!” alexia replied, laying her head on yours.
the next month went by fast as it was now known to everyone, including the fans, that you were leaving the club that you had played in for 5 years. you had sat bye to everyone of your teammates with respect, even if they haven’t all shown you that for the last couple of months. guro had invited you out for a cup of coffee to just say a proper goodbye and you accepted it and actually had a nice time with your ex.
the two of you never had hate towards each other. it was just not in this lifetime you were meant for each other. maybe in another. who knows?
when you had finally arrived at your new home in barcelona. you once again tried to find your best friend in the big crowd at the airport. your eyes then meet the hazel eyed woman and a smile automatic found it’s way to your face.
after about 25 minutes, you landed at your new house. it didn’t feel very new to you though. it was alexia’s house. she was so nice to offer you to live with her and nala.
“thank you for letting me stay at your house, ale.” you told your best friend as you walked into the guest room, that now was yours. “of course. i thought you would like to come to a familiar place since it’s been so long since you lived in spain.” alexia replied with a smile as she helped you taking the last luggage inside your room.
“still, thank you for being there for me when i’m not at my best. i really appreciate it!” you said and gave alexia a big hug. she really was your safe place. alexia gave your head a kiss as always, but it felt different this time. the reason why, you don’t know. not yet.
the next day at 9am, it was your first training with your new team, but still, when you stepped onto the field in the sunny barcelona, it felt like you had found the right place. you really missed playing for your hometown. it’s been years since you took the red and blue colored shirt on and to be honest, you couldn't wait to do it again for many years.
all of the girls welcomed you with open arms. you really missed this. being a part of a team. some of the girls were your old teammates, but there were also new teammates that you couldn’t wait to become close with too.
“it seemed like you enjoyed being back home?” alexia asked as you two got inside her car, ready to drive home and make some delicious dinner. “i really enjoyed it, yeah. it just feels right to be back.” you replied with a smile towards her.
days like these passed and before you knew it, you had been in barcelona for 2 months. you felt like everyday was a dream that you hoped never ended. living with alexia had also been a blast. even if you two had known each other since you were kids, you still learned new things about each other and laughed as much as you did in your childhood. you were so happy and the reason why you were so happy was clear.
alexia putellas segura. la reina de barcelona.
she was simply your reason for your happiness. of course she’s always made you happy, but this time it just felt so much differently than all the other times. you really don’t want to admit it, but you’re pretty sure that you’ve fallen for your best friend. not just a simple crush. no. you actually fell very hard, it almost hurt.
you hoped so much that these new feelings towards her would go away as soon as possible! you just couldn’t fall in love with your childhood best friend! like no no no!
“are you alright, y/n?” the voice from the person you just were having a mental crisis asked you. you gave her the most real smile you could find and answered her. “yeah yeah, just a bit tired.”
alexia chuckled a bit at you, before parking the car at your usual spot at the training center. “we did go to bed late last night. the last episodes of squid game had to be watched” alexia said.
“i never would have guessed that you would watch something like squid game” you responded as you got out of the car. alexia put her hand over her heart, pretending to be hurt. “you should know everything about me. you’re my best friend, remember?” she teased you. you just had to make the fakest laugh and afterwards cough for 10 seconds, because all you do is embarrass yourself.
“woah, are you sure you’re alright? i could say to jonatan that you’re not feeling well and are taking a day off?” alexia rambled you as she was worried about you. putting a hand on her shoulder after your coughing session, you replied with a simple, “i’m fine.”
“you shouldn’t overwork yourself!” alexia told you, making you stretch your back. “you should not say anything. you always overwork yourself. i was just having a normal coughing session, you know. sometimes you get something stuck in your throat and if you didn’t know, coughing helps, so-” before you could continue your important speech, alexia interrupted you.
“-i get okay! let’s get going. the girls are probably wondering where we are.” alexia said and took her hand around your arm, basically dragging you into the training center. she shouldn’t have done that though. your heart couldn’t bear to become more in love with this human. how could you stop becoming more in love with her? that is a very good question that you’re not sure you could answer.
you could ignore her, but would that help or hurt? it would also be impossible as you literally live together. maybe you should just ignore her at the training and try to find a new partner for the drills. ugh, but that would just make you look so rude! let’s just try to talk more with the other girls, then maybe it will help? just a little bit.
request: The team is waiting in an airport lounge for the plane and the reader gets really tired but finds the chairs uncomfortable so Alexia lets her use her as a pillow

You had just woken up, because you had to catch a flight later in the morning to Hawaii.
“I’m sorry to wake you, but we have to get ready, amor” your girlfriend, Alexia said which made you groan.
“Why so earlyyy?” you asked, cover your head in the duvet. Alexia rolled her eyes as your childish & sleepy side was showing. Then she decided to take action in her own hands and picked you up.
“Ale, put me down” your sleepy voice said into Alexia’s shoulder.
“No, because then you will go back to bed”
“You know me so well, babe,” you replied with a chuckle coming from your girlfriend.
—
After Alexia had splashed some cold water in your face and runned for her life with you on her heels, you started packing the last few things before the taxi would come.
“When will the taxi come?” you asked, stepping into the kitchen as Alexia was packing some snacks.
“The taxi should be here in 10 minutes, so just get ready” your girlfriend answered, making you squeal quietly and Alexia looking weird at you. Then you ran into the living room and jumped on the couch.
You could almost have fallen asleep right at that second, but your girlfriend had other plans.
“I know what you’re on” she said and once again tried to pick you up, but this time you tried to fight back and stay down.
Your plan didn’t work tho…
You just ended up on Alexia’s shoulders and her carrying you to your front door.
“Shoes on,” she said. You gave her a disgusted look.
“I’m not a child” you responded, still looking at her with a disgusted face.
Alexia just smirked. “Put your shoes on,” she once again said. You gave her the most evil face you could pull off and then put your shoes on.
“Good girl” she said after you had taken your shoes on.
“I’m a dog now or what?” you asked and crossed your arms. Alexia just shrugged her arms and opened the front door while you rolled your eyes at her.
—
On the way to the airport, you two planned on what to do on a trip to Hawaii. You were really excited to see Alexia’s sister and mother as you’ve been working a lot in these christmas days and haven’t had much time to be with them, so a vacation is the only real thing to do with them in your opinion.
“They're always really excited to finally see you again. Todo lo que hacen es hablar de ti” (All they do is talk about you) Alexia told you as you walked hand in hand towards her family at your gate.
Just as Alexia had told you that, you saw a girl running your way and it just happened to be Alexia’s little sister Alba aka your best friend.
“Y/N” she yelled, making a few people look at her which made you a bit shy. Alba didn’t care though. She hasn’t seen her best friend in December, so she had to have a nice welcome back to my life, a hug and that stuff, you know.
“Hi Alba” you said and opened your arms as she ran into them. You hugged for some time, before Alexia coughed fakely, giving her you and her sisters attention.
“I’m also here, so hug me por favor” Alexia said. Alba put her finger under her chin, pretending to make a very difficult choice.
“Muy divertido” (Very funny) Alexia mumbled and then dragged Alba into her arms for a hug.
As they had their sister moment, you spotted Alexia’s mother and made a little run over to her, giving her a big hug.
“Hola mi chica” she said and gave both of your cheeks kisses.
“Hola Eli” you replied with a big smile as Alexia and Alba had joined the two of you.
After all of you said your hello’s and then found a place to sit, you finally had your chance to sleep as the flight first took off in 90 minutes.
You tried to find a position to sleep in, but this stupid chair was just so uncomfortable.
“Love?” you heard and your eyes met Alexia’s.
“Qué?” you asked.
“You can use me as a pillow if you want?”
“Oh, you don’t have to, babe-” “But I want to,” Alexia interrupted.
“Fine, but don’t you dare move. I actually want to sleep in just 30 minutes” you told her.
“Just lay down!” she said and made a bit of space for you.
You gave her a little shy smile.
“Gracias” you replied and quickly gave your girlfriend a kiss on the cheek and then laid down with your head in her lap.
Alexia returned the kiss with some lovely head massage as she knew you loved.
“No puedo. Ustedes son tan lindas” (I can't. You two are so cute!) Alba squealed, seeing her two favorite best friends being in love.
Alexia gave her a soft smile, not wanting to wake you up.
“Será mejor que te cases con ella pronto” (You better marry her soon) Alexia’s mother added quietly, but enough for her daughters to hear.
“Estoy planeando hacerlo” (I'm planning to do it) Alexia replied in Spanish as she didn’t want you to hear the news.
Alexia’s family gave her a side eye with a smile before going back to their game of uno.
Can we please have a second part of No One’s Fault where its angsty and reader gets herself injured/in a dangerous situation and Alexia can’t get a hold of her and feels guilty

Everyone watched as you walked out of the locker room, slamming the door hard.
A silence filled the room between the Barcelona players.
“You should probably go get her,” Mapi said to her captain and best friend.
“What? Why?” Alexia asked, still not over the weird and uncomfortable situation.
She never wanted to hurt your feelings, but it somehow got too much for both her and you.
“She’s you wife, so quit asking that stupid question. We need her on the team, so go tell her you are sorry and that she is playing the next game!” Mapi answered as she was raising her voice, annoyed that she was treating probably the nicest person on the team that badly.
“Vale” (Fine) Alexia said and walked out of the door you had run out a few minutes earlier.
—
“Y/N?” yelled around the building, but she couldn’t find you.
“Dónde está ella?” (Where is she?) Alexia mumbled to herself.
Alexia then took her phone from her bag and tried to call you multiple times.
Alexia groaned in annoyances. Why aren’t you answering your phone?
Then the coach and a few other staff members came running out of a room.
“Why are you all running?” Alexia asked, still trying to call you.
“Y/n have been in an accident” Jonatan answered.
“Accident? What do you mean?”
“I don’t know exactly what happened. I just know that Y/n have been in a car accident and is on her way to the hospital, so that’s why we have to check up on her” y
Alexia was very overwhelmed with all the information she just had got.
You got in a car accident?
Alexia began feeling really bad.
It’s her fault. If she hadn’t been so mean and yelled at you, maybe you would have still been in the locker room, laughing and joking around with the others, being the normal, kind and lovely you!
It’s all her fault!
“You should go with them. She probably needs you” Jonatan said, not knowing what Alexia just had yelled at you.
Alexia just nodded, too stunned to speak.
“Then go with them now. They’ve leaving in 2 minutes” Jonatan explained and that made Alexia quickly run after the staff members.
—
As Alexia and the staff members made their way to the hospital, Alexia had never ever felt more bad in her life.
She sat with her head in her hands, afraid that she would break down looking at the others in the car.
It’s all her fault… If she haven’t been so stupid and dumb, you wouldn’t have been in the hospital right now.
Alexia could feel a tear slipping down her cheek, but she quickly whipped it away.
—
When they finally after too long driving time for Alexia’s liking where at the hospital, Alexia was the first one out of the car and she didn’t wait for the others.
She had to see you!..
She ran into the hospital, looking for a nurse that could show her where you were.
“Hola,” Alexia said, walking over to an older lady.
“Hola. Need any help?”
“Sí. Do you know where Y/n Y/l is?” Alexia asked.
“Let me quickly check” the lady answered and went behind a computer, searching for you name.
“Follow me”
—
The nurse had now found your room for Alexia.
“Y/n Y/l is here. I think she’s sleeping, but otherwise should be okay”
“Gracias” Alexia thanked the lady and opened the door, to find you sleeping.
Alexia let out a deep breath that she didn’t even know she had held in.
She sat down on a chair beside you and took your hand.
“Lo siento” (I’m sorry) Alexia quickly said as she broke down.
She could never forgive herself, so how could you forgive her?
“I’m sorry that I yelled at you. Of course I wasn’t your fucking fault. I was just so disappointed and mad at myself. Then I took it out on you and now you’re here and it’s all my fucking fault” Alexia rambled as she laid her head against your hand, giving it a soft kiss.
“It’s all my fault”
“No it’s not” a voice said and Alexia’s teary eyes met yours.
Alexia leaned forward, laying her head on your shoulder.
“Lo siento!..”
“It’s okay Ale” you said in your sleepy voice.
“But it’s my fault you’re here!”
“Ale-”
“If I hadn’t yelled at you and been such an idiot, you would be here. Of course it’s my-”
You then laid your lips against hers to shut her up.
“If you say it’s your fault one more time, I’m telling everyone your celebrity crush is Wonder Woman” you said with a smirk which made Alexia laugh for the first time in a while.
“I’m still sorry tho” Alexia whispered and pressed a kiss to your forehead.
“It’s okay, alright!? I’m okay” you convinced her.
Alexia took a deep sigh, just looking into your eyes.
“You’re too good for me,” Alexia murmured.
“Says the best football player and hottest woman in the world” you responded and made Alexia blush slightly.
“Come lay with me”
“I don’t want to hurt you”
“You’ll hurt me more if you won’t lay with me” you said with a pout that you knew Alexia couldn’t resist.
“Fine. Come here” Alexia replied, opening her arms for you to jump into her.
The two of you then laid down on the hospital bed together.
“I love you,” you mumbled.
Alexia pressed a quick peck to your lips.
“Yo también te quiero-” (I love you too) Alexia said and was interrupted when she saw the staff members coming into the room.
you can make one where Alexia and the reader have an argument and the reader starts getting sarcastic at her in front of the team.
No one’s fault
Note: I feel like this maybe deserves a part 2?
Warning: I can’t spanish.
—
The fans looked disappointed at the FC Barcelona players when the final whistle blew and the result ended with 1-1 against Real Madrid.
The fans also noticed that the captain and you were arguing.
“¿Por qué no me pasaste?” (Why didn’t you pass to me?) Alexia asked.
“Qué quieres decir”? (What do you mean?) you answered
“Podríamos haber ganado si hubieras hecho lo correcto” (We could have won if you had done the right thing) Alexia said
“No todo es culpa mía. Tal vez deberías ser un mejor capitán y habríamos ganado” (It’s not all my fault. Maybe you should be a better captain and we would have won) you replied and stormed off the field, into the locker room, leaving Alexia’s eyes following you.
—
After a few minutes alone in the locker room, your teammates also came inside the room.
“¿Qué fue eso entre tú y Alexia?” (What was that between you and Alexia?) Mapi asked.
“She just said that we could have won if I did the right thing and passed to her, then I told her that maybe it’s because she should be a better captain” you answered.
“Damn” Mariona and Andrea mumbled in sinc.
“Maybe, that wasn’t the right thing to say to her. She will probably take it quite personal” Irene said.
“I know it was wrong, but she just can’t say things like that because she is captain” you explained.
“But it is her job,” Sandra said.
“I know and I’m fine with people telling me what I could do better, but she literally told me that it was my fault we didn’t win and I just couldn’t agree with her” you replied.
“That’s right. Football is a team sport and it’s never just one person's fault” Sandra said.
“Exactamente” (Exactly) you mumbled as you heard someone opening the door and walking in.
You already knew who it was…
“¿Puedo hablar con ustedes, Y/n?” (Can I talk to you, Y/n?) she asked.
“Okay” you answered as you crossed your arms over your chest, waiting for her to start talking.
“Alone?”
“No”
“Qué?”
“You heard me,” you said.
“It would be better if we just could talk somewhere more private” Alexia explained and now felt like everyones eyes were on you.
“Solo habla ahora” (Just talk now) you said, still having your arms crossed over your chest.
Then you felt Alexia get slightly pissed at you.
“Next game you won’t play” she suddenly said.
“Alexia-” Sandra started, but you stopped her.
“No, let’s hear, why I shouldn’t play the next game”you said and then all eyes went on Alexia.
“I won’t say it in front of everyone,” Alexia replied.
“Oh, then I should tell the others, because you kinda told me on the field” you said.
“Y/n…”
“You said that I should pass you more and you said it was all my fault that we didn’t win” you explained.
“I didn’t mean-”
“Maybe, you should just end my contract, Putellas? Now that you already sent me off the next game, then you can just forget me, right? No more Y/n Y/l. No more draws. No more loses. No more drama. Just you and your teammates, right Putellas?” you said and started to get tears in your eyes, but you didn’t care.
“I-Y/n…”
“Oh, Y/n, I didn’t mean to be like that. Bla bla bla. It doesn’t matter anymore. I’m done and you can now thank yourself for getting the worst player of the team. Have a good fucking life, Alexia Putellas” you said as you took your things and stormed out of the building as fast as possible.
Request: 🍯 (friends to lovers) 💥 (sleeping together) 🛏️ (only one bed)
Note: I love ona, you love ona. we both know where this going... :-)
Warnings: there’s kinda mention of smut in this one. oopsssss.
“Uhm Y/n?” Ona said as we stepped inside our hotel room.
“Qué?” Y/n asked, sitting down her heavy suitcase.
“Look” Ona answered and then Y/n just gave her a confused look.
“Idiota” Ona mumbled and took her hand to Y/n’s cheek and turned her head, so Y/n could see what Ona was talking about.
There was only one bed.
“Oh…” Y/n whispered.
“I can go down and ask for a different room so-”
“No, no, no. No need for that. The bed is big enough for us both” Y/n said.
“Alrighty. Let’s pack out then” Ona replied and then the two spanish women begin packing a few of their things out.
—
Later that evening when Ona and Y/n were about to go to bed, both of them got kinda nervous that they had to share a bed together.
They used to have separate beds.
“Y/n, I can still go down and ask for another room,” Ona said.
“You really don’t need to, Ona. I think we’ll survive” Y/n responded with a smile, making Ona laugh a bit.
“Okay, then buenas noches” Ona said and then Ona laid down in the bed while Y/n put her hair up in a bun.
“Buenas noches, Batlle” Y/n replied and also laid down in the bed beside Ona.
—
Neither of the girls could sleep and now it was 2am.
“Y/n?” Y/n heard Ona whisper, making her turn around and come right to face with Ona.
Like they were only inches away from each other. They could even feel each other's breath against their lips…
“What Batlle?” Y/n whispered back as she looked right into Ona’s eyes, making Ona melt inside.
Ona couldn’t answer.
“Ona?” Y/n asked once again.
What Y/n got in return surprised Y/n a lot, because suddenly Ona had come even closer, putting her hand on Y/n’s cheek.
The two of them just stared into each other’s eyes while Ona caressed Y/n’s cheek.
Then Y/n surprised Ona with coming forward and putting her lips against hers in a short peck.
“Sorry. I couldn’t resist-” Y/n said, but got interrupted by Ona’s lips finding hers again in a more passionate kiss.
The kiss got even more heated when Y/n put herself on top of Ona and Ona’s hand strolled down Y/n’s body.
“Ona…” Y/n moaned.
“What do you want?” Ona mumbled against Y/n’s neck.
“You”
—
Y/n had been the first down for breakfast as she wanted to avoid talking to Ona about last night.
After 20 minutes alone, Alexia walked into the breakfast room and got quite surprised when she saw Y/n sitting there already. She was normally the first down for breakfast.
“Buenos días, Y/n” Alexia said and sat down beside Y/n.
“Buenos días, Ale” Y/n replied with a little smile.
“Who is your roommate?” Alexia suddenly asked.
“Uhm Ona, why?” Y/n answered as she took a sip from her coffee.
“Is just..” Alexia started.
“Seriously? What is it?” Y/n asked, getting curious.
Then Alexia leaned closer to Y/n, so only she could hear what she was going to say.
“Did Ona give you that hickey?” she asked, making Y/n’s eyes wide.
“I have a hickey?” Y/n mumbled.
“Three actually” Alexia said as Y/n gave her a death stare.
“Lo siento. It’s not my fault. I will just warn you that the other girls will probably tease you lots if you don’t get it covered up” Alexia added.
“I don’t want to talk with Ona,” Y/n said.
“Why? Aren’t you dating?” Alexia asked
“No, we’re not dating. Where did you get that from?” Y/n answered.
“You two act like an old married couple all the time” Alexia said.
“Oh, stop it. Have you seen you and Jenni? I’m surprised she hasn’t broken up with you” Y/n response, getting a gentle hit on the shoulder.
“Don’t try to change the subject. You should talk to Ona. I’m quite sure she likes you a lot, or I definitely know she does” Alexia explained.
“Really? She likes me?” Y/n asked, not believing Alexia at all.
“She came to Leila and mine's room yesterday and panicked about the fact that you two were sharing a bed and she was afraid that she couldn’t keep her hands to herself. Well, I know now that she clearly couldn’t keep her hands to herself” Alexia said and gave Y/n a wink, making the younger girl blush crazier than Alexia thought she would.
“Aww, look at you all in love” Alexia teased even more while Y/n just gave the captain a smile.
—
As the others came down, Y/n had quickly sneaked away when she saw Ona coming down, so she could go into their room alone.
Her plan just didn’t complete 100% as Ona noticed Y/n’s plan.
Ona then turned around and grabbed Y/n’s wrist, making Y/n turn around.
“Oh buenos días, Batlle. Slept well?” Y/n asked and without showing it, gave her own face a punch for saying that.
“You know we didn’t sleep much last night, querida…” Ona answered, making Y/n get butterflies in her stomach when she called her querida.
Y/n didn’t reply though. What should she even respond to that?..
“Can we talk about what happened yesterday?” Ona asked.
Y/n shrugged.
“Can we maybe do it later? After being in the gym?” Y/n answered.
“Of course. Remember to cover those up, right?” Ona said and touched Y/n’s neck gently, sending shivers through Y/n’s body.
Ona just smirked and gave Y/n a kiss on the cheek.
—
After some hard hours in the gym, Mapi and Leila had walked over to Y/n, noticing something interesting on her neck.
“Did Ona finally banged you?” Mapi asked, making her and Leila laugh like crazy.
“¿Qué quieres decir?” Y/n asked.
“Have you seen your neck? You don’t have one, you don’t have two, you have THREE big hickies” Leila answered, trying to touch Y/n’s neck, but Y/n backed away from them.
“Seriously? Stop!” Y/n said and walked out of the gym, up to her room for a shower.
A lot of the girls had noticed what the girls had said to Y/n, but Ona was the quickest to say something.
“Can you please sometimes set boundaries?” Ona asked and then stormed out of the gym to find Y/N.
“Ona’s right. You guys can joke around, that’s fair, but don’t do it with that next time, alright chicas?” Alexia said.
—
“Y/N” Ona yelled as she finally caught up with Y/n.
Y/n wouldn’t stop tho, so Ona had to use her full speed and runned down to take Y/n into her arms as quickly as possible.
“It’s okay, hermosa. Mapi and Leila weren't thinking and it’s defentily not your fault” Ona said, kissing Y/n’s head.
“I just hate attention and when they say things like that, all heads are obviously turning my way” Y/n replied.
“Maybe heads are turning your way, because you're the most gorgeous person in the room?!” Ona said, making Y/n look up at her.
“You think I’m gorgeous?” she asked.
“Obviously. Have you seen yourself? You’re the most gorgeous person in the whole world!” Ona answered and made Y/n’s cheeks turn red.
“Thank you” Y/n mumbled into Ona’s chest.
“For what?” Ona asked.
“Being the best person in this world” Y/n answered.
“Do you want to be my girlfriend?” Ona suddenly asked, making Y/n look at her with wide eyes.
“Really?” Y/n said.
Ona just nodded nervously as she waited for the answer from her dream girl.
“SÍ, SÍ, SÍ, SÍ, SÍ!” Y/n yelled and jumped onto Ona with her legs around Ona’s waist and made Ona hug Y/n even tighter.
Then Y/n took Ona’s head in her hands and put her lips on Ona’s in a passionate kiss.
Well since you put out the post about noone requesting an Alexia fic....here we go....what about an interviewer fliring with reader who totally ignores it but alexia is fuming...
Only hers
Note: another short blurb that I enjoyed writing :-)
After the first game in the new season against Madrid CFF, Y/n had to make a few interviews, since she had scored a few goals and got the fans player of the match award.
When Y/n thought she finally had done all of the interviews, she found out she had one last one, making her sigh deeply.
“Just one interview. Calm down” Y/n whispered to herself as she wasn’t that comfortable doing interviews. She was actually very uncomfortable doing them, since most of them wanted to know things about her private life.
She loved when people asked her about football, because she could ramble about it for hours, but when people started asking questions about her family or some drama on the team, she got very uncomfortable and often didn’t know how to answer.
Taking another deep breath, Y/n walked towards where the last interview should be taken place.
—
“Ladies and gentlemen, I wanna give a warm welcome to one of the best and prettiest players in the world, Y/n Y/l, a big welcome to you” the young woman said.
“Thank you very much” I replied with a shy smile.
“So, today you scored three goals and you’re actually the top-scorer in the league right now. Is that your goal this year besides becoming champions once again?”
“Well, it’s not really my goal to score the most goals in the league, I just want my team to do well and if that means I have to score goals, then I’ll for sure do that” I answered with a proud smile.
“Okay, so now I have a more personal question” the woman warned me, making me sigh.
“How do you get as beautiful as you?” she asked with a smirk.
“Ehm, I don’t know. I do not use anything special, I guess, just be natural” I answered, stumbling over my own words, making the interviewer laugh slightly at me.
“Qué lindo eres” (you’re so cute) I heard the woman mumble, but I didn’t really listen as I can’t understand Spanish that well.
“Last question ma’am” my manager said, making the interviewer roll her eyes at him.
“My last question will then be if I can give you a gift, personally from me” the interviewer asked with a wink.
“Why not?” I answered with a friendly smile as she handed me wine and flowers.
“Uhm, thank you” I said while smelling the flowers.
“It’s me that is thanking you for the amazing time with you, hermosa” she replied as she gave my arm a squish.
“Okay. Adios” I said with an awkward wave as the woman walked away.
“Fucking finally” I mumbled, making my manager chukle a bit.
—
As I walked inside the locker room, the other girls wolf-whistled as I looked confused at them.
“What’s up with you guys?” I asked as I sat the flowers and wine down beside my locker.
“I think it’s us that is meant to say, what’s up with you” Mariona answered while the others laughed.
I simply just ignored them, not tired to hear about why they actually were wolf-whistling.
5 minutes after, I had walked inside the room, Alexia walked in too as she also had quite a few interviews to do after the game.
What was worrying me was that Alexia didn’t look happy at all even if we had won our first game. When she came over, I decided to ask her what was going on.
“Is there something wrong, Ale?” I asked.
I got no answer, but I did get a glare from Alexia.
“Smile a bit tho. We have just won our first season game” I said as I laid my hand over hers.
What I wasn't expecting was Alexia pulling me up and out of the locker room.
“Ale, where are we going?” I asked.
“A place where no one can hear us,” she answered.
“What do you mean?” I asked.
“Stop asking so many questions or you’re going to regret it later” Alexia warned me.
—
As Alexia had pulled me inside a room, locking the door and pushed me against that was where I got really confused.
“Alexia, what the fuck is up with you?” I asked, harsher than I was meant to.
“Oh, don’t even give me that look. That woman was flirting with you the whole interview and you didn’t even say anything against it. She should be very lucky that I was doing an interview myself, cause If i didn’t I would have come and broken her bones” Alexia answered.
“She gave me a gift and that makes you jealous? Come on Putellas! You’re better than that” I said and pushed her off me, making her eyes turn darker.
“I don’t know if you’re playing dumb, but she literally called you lindo and hermosa!” Alexia yelled.
“I don’t even know what that means” I yelled back at her as she was the one giving me a confused look.
“I thought you knew just a few words” Alexia whispered.
“Well, I do, just not these words…” I whispered back.
Then there was silence.
“But whatever she said about me doesn’t matter, cause if she really was flirting with me then fuck that. The only one I have eyes for is you” I said and took her hand in mine.
“She literally called you cute and beautiful. It just didn’t feel right” Alexia mumbled as she played with my fingers.
“Listen, nobody compares to you, Alexia. You’re the one for me and that stupid interviewer can just fuck off, okay? You’re my everything!” I said, taking my arms around her neck while hers casually came around my waist.
“Understand?” I asked, laying my forehead against hers.
Alexia nodded as she leaned in to give me a peck on my lips.
Then she took a deep breath.
“Ready to get teased by Andrea?” I asked with a smile.
