hi guys! here are my first ever printables ((: they’re super simple + minimalistic because i’ve just started and have dabbled a bit with the set-up of them

other than that - here’s some info on them!! was planning out an essay for english and i decided to create some planning sheets to print out and write my info in !! they come in two versions - 2 body paragraphs + 3 body paragraphs

The Heart of the Labyrinth: Reading Jim Hensons' Labyrinth as a Modern Dream Vision

This holds information about the enchantments of the Labyrinth; it discusses Labyrinth as an exploration of Sarah’s growing maturity and sexuality. What’s interesting to note is their discussion of the scene with the Fieries, in which they try to take Sarah’s head:

‘It is very subtle, only truly recognisable to those who know the term “maidenhead” and understand older meanings behind reference’s to ones “head”.’

Labyrinth: A Goblin King and a Sexual Dream

David Bowie’s anti-hero shaped how a generation viewed sexuality and gender.

Highlights the seductive nature of Bowie’s Jareth.

This is from a selection of essays about Jim Henson’s work. I found this paragraph particularly interesting as it highlights the importance of costuming in displaying the seductive nature of the Goblin King.

This is going to be particularly useful for my essay. At the moment, I’ve found that the idea of the Goblin King as a ‘rockstar’ that Sarah has created - as she creates the Labyrinth for herself - is a particularly interesting notion. Why a rockstar? Is it because fame is enchanting/seductive? Is this linked to Warhol’s notions on fame?
