Gravity Fissure
It might be nothing, but Matt occasionally referring to Essek (in the roommate question) using They/Them pronouns has furthered my He/They Essek agenda and I am very very happy right now.
Wait, did we ever find out why Essek picked that guy to frame??? Or why exactly his father left?
When did this become an Essek blog lmao???
True Love’s Nat 20: Friendship is Magic Edition HYPE!!!!
Your honour, I am once again thinking about Essek.
Honestly the amount of Essek posts this week are giving me life and feeding me for years to come
Okay okay okay, I'm half asleep but having emotions about Essek so. Take this post.
From what he said, Essek is actually willing to go into the ruins with them. Essek is willing to fight the Tomb Takers with the Nein, even after knowing everything that Lucien can do.
And the more I think about it, the more I kinda just wanna cry, because like. Allura and Yussa - they're both (or at least Allura is) good. When the Nein went to them this episode, we knew that they would help out in some way, even if they didn't help by physically fighting with them.
And sure enough, although they will come in as backup if things turn for the worse, both Allura and Yussa do not offer to come with them.
Essek, though.
Essek, who was selfish enough to start a war for knowledge, agrees to go with them. And you know, I actually don't think he's even as powerful as Allura or Yussa.
Yet Essek says he'll go with them, because they're his friends. Because he cares about them.
But also because he knows (thinks!) he's going to die soon. The Nein turned his world upside down, and now he feels guilty and ashamed, and before he dies he wants to do something of some worth - something good.
And what could be more good than fighting with, and laying your life down for your friends.
