For Sadie’s birthday, Juno has gotten... well, first of all, a goddamn haircut. He hopes it isn’t too jarring when he greets her at their favorite joint in Seattle, short-and-curly-haired, but he can’t lie to himself and say that he’s not hoping for something. ( A sigh of relief, maybe. )
He says hello with a clean-shaven kiss and leads her right to the table he’s reserved.
“Happy birthday,” he says, a big smile trying desperately to break through. Poor sucker has to kiss her ( not that kissing her is, by any means, a chore ) to keep it under wraps. “Dinner or gift first? It’s your big day. You call the shots.”

Jed. Abbey knew when they met that she loved him, but he was joining the Priesthood, and she wasn’t going to interfere with his future.
who laughs when the other trips?
Jed. Although if it weren’t for his MS, Abbey would laugh too.
who pays the bills?
Abbey pre-presidency, Jed while he’s president.
which one makes a bigger deal around the holidays?
They both do. Christmas is kind of their thing; their kids all come home, and they try their best to turn their lives into Christmas cards. Abbey worked a lot before the Presidency, so Jed was always a little more pushy about the holidays.
who’s more clumsy?
Jed(?) He’s just so nerdy? I feel like Abbey has better hand-eye coordination, because she’s a surgeon, but I don’t think either of them are terribly athletic? Abbey runs in the morning (in canon), so I feel like Jed is clumsier?
who checks their daily horoscope?
Abbey. And she reads Jed’s to him too.
who sings louder in the car?
Jed. And he’s not awful.
who leaves the cap off the toothpaste?
Neither of them... Maybe both of them...
who is more up to date in pop culture?
Abbey. Only because she doesn’t have much to do in the White House other than pick out dresses and give interviews in Women’s magazines.
Jed. He makes old movie references, and knows inane trivia about how they filmed certain movies.
who insists on going to see the newest movies?
Jed. But he talks during movies, and it drives Abbey crazy.
who cries when the abused animal commercials come on?
Abbey. She cries at everything.
who’s the lighter sleeper?
Abbey. She’s used to waiting up for Jed to come to bed.
who believes in ghosts?
Abbey. She’s spoken to them through her Ouija Board.
who does the grocery shopping?
They have people that do that for them.
who updates their facebook status more often?
Abbey. Jed doesn’t know how Facebook works.

Juno is sitting with his feet on the coffee table and Sadie’s tucked under his thighs. It’s warm, comfortable, grossly intimate. When he does speak, it’s rushed and uncut, so those closest always get the whole truth ( pretty or unpretty as it may be ).
